Youth Unlimited in Abbotsford

Youth Unlimited in Abbotsford Connecting youth. Transforming lives. Our Big Picture: Youth Unlimited is a part of a worldwide organization known as Youth for Christ.

Our Team: We seek to be a close-knit team of volunteers, prayer/financial partners, and staff who join together in serving young people and their families. Our City’s Need: Our youth workers know far too many youth in Abbotsford who are growing up in high risk environments filled with drug addiction, bullying, physical and sexual abuse, parental neglect, sexual confusion, and spiritual darkness. O

ur Unique Approach: We use our unique abilities in innovative ways to respond in love to the spiritual, social, physical and mental needs of youth. We enter the world of young people to build transformative communities where all are unconditionally accepted and accompanied in life’s journey. Billy Graham was our first full time youth worker in the 1940s. Today, we serve in over 100 countries and have over 40 staff serving in 8 cities within the Lower Mainland. Our Future: In Abbotsford, we are building toward a team of 10 full time staff and 100 volunteers. We seek to reach more youth and help them experience deeper levels of transformation in their lives. Our priority is to reach more pockets of young people and families across Abbotsford so we are always searching for new youth workers and volunteers. Our Costs: As a non-profit organization, we invite individuals and organizations to partner with us by contributing toward one of our youth ministry contexts or our office which provides the infrastructure for our youth workers to do what they do best.

🍪 Can You Help Us with a Sweet Treat? 🍪

We're looking for donations of cookies—homemade or store-bought—to share with the amazing youth who attend our clubs and programs.

A simple cookie helps create a warm, welcoming environment where young people can build friendships, have fun, and hear about God's love.

If you're able to bake a batch or pick up some cookies on your next grocery run, we'd be so grateful! Please send us a message for drop-off details.

Thank you for partnering with us as we invest in the lives of youth in our community. ❤️

Big congratulations to Makenzie Burnett & Kenny Sperling on their wedding this past Saturday!

Makenzie is one of our amazing youth workers with our West Abbotsford ICTC Team (I’m Created to Connect), where she mentors youth and coaches sports teams at Eugene Reimer Middle School.

We are so happy for them as they begin married life together! A fun connection for our family: Kenny graduated from MEI with our son Rahul — they were in choir together.

Wishing Makenzie & Kenny God’s blessing in this new chapter!

Yay — great news! Our good friends at House of James, across the street from our Youth Unlimited office in Abbotsford, have renewed their lease for another 3 years. We’re really grateful they’ll be staying and thankful to God for this good news.

Around a dinner table, stories are shared, hearts are opened, and people are reminded that youth matter deeply to God. Our Dinner Parties create simple spaces for people to hear how youth in the Fraser Valley are discovering belonging, hope, and abundant life in Jesus. If hosting something like this in your home interests you, we’d love to help make that possible.

Water Safety Supervisor (Bronze Cross or Lifeguard)

We’re looking for someone with Bronze Cross or Lifeguard certification to support youth day trips to local lakes, rivers, and the ocean throughout July and August.

This can be a paid position or a volunteer opportunity.

If you’re attentive, responsible, and enjoy being around youth in outdoor environments, this is more than just a job—it’s a chance to help create safe, meaningful experiences for young people.

What if a simple dinner in your home could help change a young person’s story?
We’re in the middle of our Youth Unlimited Dinner Parties (April–May)—and we’re looking for more people to host. And the best part? We provide the meal.
It’s simple:
✔️ Invite friends or family
✔️ Gather your small group, men’s or women’s group
✔️ We arrange the meal
✔️ You watch a 30-minute video where you’ll meet our youth workers and hear stories from youth in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Mission
Most dinners happen in homes, and we’ll take care of the details so you don’t have to.
If you’re even a little curious, send us a message—we’d love to connect or send you a preview of the video.

Last week I spent time learning with several other child and youth workers from agencies across the Lower Mainland about safe relationships and the impact of violence in the home.
One line that really stayed with me: children are not just “witnessing violence” — they are “experiencing violence and trauma” in the home.
That is one reason the work of Youth Unlimited matters so much. Healthy relationships, safe adults, and early support can change the trajectory of a young person’s life.
I'm pictured here with persons from four other agencies who serve youth and families in the Fraser Valley.
