God’s Word says He does more than we ask or imagine. IM Canada has seen this happen many times. Here’s the latest example:

We asked God to provide an Associate Director, and He sent Jason Johnson and his wife Jana Johnson our way. Prayers answered. But then He did more than we asked.

IM Canada is pleased to introduce Bradley Wright as our new Associate Director of Operations. He and his wife Lindsay live in Beaumont, Alberta with their five children. They come with missions experience having served in Brazil, and a passion for teaching and leadership development.

One of IM Canada's greatest needs for the past decade has been to find someone to fill the role of Associate Director and who will eventually become Gene's successor. Many, many people have prayed and trusted God with us, and God has answered.

We are excited to introduce Jason Johnson as our new Associate Director. Gene and I have known Jason and his wife Jana for about 17 years. They've participated on two of our evangelistic English-learning family camps in Slovakia, where Jana was born and raised. Their background is in pastoral ministry.

Welcome to IM Canada, Jason and Jana (and family!) They attended the staff conference in Poland with us and our extended IM family enjoyed meeting them. They later traveled to Romania and Slovakia with Gene to see several IM projects firsthand. We are excited to onboard them and look forward to seeing how God will grow the ministry using the skills they will bring.

Gene and Grace are hosting our booth at Mission Fest BC in Chilliwack this weekend. The event is kicking off with 700 students coming together to worship Jesus and learn about what God is doing around the world.

"I shared the story of Abraham with the kids and the importance of obedience and following God that you can see in Abraham’s entire life. When God told Abraham, “This is the time for you to move,” Abraham did, leaving his land and his family and heading to a foreign land, without knowing where he was going. This was the challenge I gave the children to think about: “How did Abraham move to a place he didn’t know? And how did he have the faith and obedience to do so?” Good questions and challenges, and planting seeds of faith and obedience in children at this age is very important."

~Mina lives in Egypt but follows God’s leading to other countries to preach the gospel and work with children and others. He recently planned a short-term trip to Kenya.

Doug recently gave a sermon in which he spoke about Jesus feeding the 5,000, and he did the math on approximately how many individual meals we’ve served through the years here at the River of Life Ministry in Romania. He averaged about how many people have been living here, times three meals per day, times how many per week, and per year, times 27 years, and he came up with about a million meals served through here! We’ve never once sat down at the table and not had a meal to eat in all those 27 years! That is a miracle—something only God could do! This verse came to my mind when I heard that.

“Truly, truly, I say to you. Whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12.

"I serve by sewing and making reusable hygiene pads for girls, and I witness how God cares about even the smallest details in their lives. Out of His love for me, He gave me the privilege of being part of His ministry and of caring for girls from many places. I’ve sent reusable hygiene pads to girls in Lebanon, Turkey, Uganda, South Sudan, and even to Sudanese girls in Egypt."
