From the Feast of the Creator (September 1) to the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4), Christians around the world are encouraged to pray, reflect, and give thanks for the gift of creation.

As Christians, we believe that creation is God's good gift, that humanity has a responsibility to tend and keep it, and that all creation ultimately belongs to God.

May this season renew in us a spirit of wonder, gratitude, humility, and faithful stewardship, and turn our hearts from the created things toward the Creator Himself.

“The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it.” — Psalm 24:1

What should Christians do with power, influence, and authority? The Protestant Reformation raised difficult questions about the relationship between Christianity, the Church, society, and human power, and those questions haven't gone away.

From the English Reformation to the Church today, the question remains: what does it actually mean to live out our faith in a world where power is constantly up for grabs?

The Protestant Reformation and English Reformation are often remembered as conflicts over doctrine, authority, and the Church, but what happens when religious authority becomes a struggle for power?

The Reformation was about more than breaking with Rome. It raised questions about Christian community, the priesthood of all believers, power, authority, and what it means to place Jesus at the centre.

Anglican and Catholic relations have a long history of division, but are we seeing something change? From King Charles worshipping with Pope Leo to recent efforts toward greater Christian unity, some remarkable moments have taken place quietly in the background.

In this Pray Tell clip, Trevor and Al look at the history behind these encounters and ask what they might reveal about the future of the Anglican Church, the Catholic Church, and the wider Christian Church.

Why was Scripture translated into everyday language? From Martin Luther’s German Bible to the Book of Common Prayer, putting sacred texts in the common tongue was never just about language, it was about dismantling spiritual hierarchy and empowering the body of believers. In this clip from the Pray Tell podcast, we dive into how accessible Scripture reshaped faith, power dynamics, and the concept of the priesthood of all believers.

Last Thursday, Fr. James, Ralph and Nick attended Vespers at Westminster Abbey in Mission, BC. It's a Benedictine monastery where over 20 monks have dedicated their lives to prayer according the the Roman Catholic tradition.

As you can see, the chapel is stunningly constructed with molded concrete and the evening sun illuminated the stained glass brilliantly.

If you're looking for someplace to worship God but aren't familiar with monasteries in general or the Benedictines in particular, I highly recommend you have a look. Their visiting hours are found on their website.
