« Heureux vous qui êtes pauvres, car le royaume de Dieu est à vous.
« Heureux vous qui avez faim maintenant, car vous serez rassasiés.
« Heureux vous qui pleurez maintenant, car vous rirez.
« Heureux êtes-vous lorsque les hommes vous haïssent, lorsqu’ils vous excluent, vous outragent et rejettent votre nom comme mauvais, à cause du Fils de l’homme ! Méditation du jour
« Chez Dieu, il n’y a aucune différence entre Sa bonté et Sa puissance. Dieu est l’Être infini lui-même, et c’est dans notre esprit que nous devons établir des catégories distinctes pour Le comprendre. Mais Dieu est uniquement un acte parfait et simple d’être, ou la perfection. Il est donc impossible que Dieu abuse de Sa puissance pour faire le mal, car Il est, par définition, bon… Nous sommes des créatures déchues, et c’est pour cette raison que nous avons besoin de freins et de contrepoids pour nous empêcher d’utiliser notre pouvoir afin d’abuser des autres… Le seul être capable de gérer le pouvoir absolu est celui qui est aussi, par nécessité, la bonté absolue, c’est-à-dire Dieu.

"In God there is no difference between His goodness and His power. God is infinite being itself, and we have to make distinguishing categories in our minds in order to understand Him. But God is solely one perfect, simple act of being, or perfection. So, there is no way God can misuse His power for evil because He is, by definition, good...We are fallen creatures, and because of this we need checks and balances to keep us from using our power to abuse others...The only being that can handle absolute power is that being Who is also absolute goodness by necessity, or God."

« L'inquiétude nous attire parce qu'elle nous donne l'impression de maîtriser ce qui pourrait arriver – que, en réfléchissant à ce qui pourrait se produire, nous pourrions d'une manière ou d'une autre éviter un préjudice ou un dommage potentiel. Il peut y avoir des avantages à réfléchir aux problèmes et à essayer de se préparer à tout ce qui pourrait arriver, mais nous pouvons souvent aller trop loin, ce qui conduit à prendre des décisions fondées sur la peur et l'anxiété plutôt que sur l'équilibre et la confiance. »

"Worrying appeals to us because it gives us a sense that we are in control of what might happen–that by thinking through what could happen, we could somehow stave off potential harm or damage. There can be advantages to thinking problems through and trying to prepare ourselves for whatever may come, but we can often take it to an extreme, leading to decision making based on fear and anxiety rather than balance and trust."

Méditation :
Les âmes choisies sont, entre Mes mains, des lumières que Je projette dans les ténèbres du monde et par lesquelles Je l’illumine. Tout comme les étoiles illuminent la nuit, ainsi les âmes choisies illuminent la terre. Et plus une âme est parfaite, plus la lumière qu’elle diffuse est forte et porte loin. Elle peut être cachée et inconnue, même de ceux qui lui sont les plus proches, et pourtant sa sainteté se reflète dans les âmes jusqu’aux confins les plus éloignés du monde (Journal, 1601).

Chosen souls are, in My hand, lights which I cast into the darkness of the world and with which I illumine it. As stars illumine the night, so chosen souls illumine the earth. And the more perfect a soul is, the stronger and the more far-reaching is the light shed by it. The IDC Parish Picnic is Back!

After many years, we're bringing back a tradition that many people remember fondly, and we'd love to see you there.
Join us on Sunday, June 14 for our bilingual Mass at 9:30 AM, followed by a parish picnic on the church grounds. Hot dogs will be provided, along with salads and other goodies generously brought by Parishioners. There will be games for children and adults, prizes for every child, and adults can try their luck in our fundraising game for a chance to win a $200 meat package.

There is no cost to attend. Donations are welcome.
Bring a lawn chair, bring a blanket, or just come as you are.

Whether you're a regular parishioner, haven't been around in a while, or are simply looking for a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon, you are welcome.
