The statement that "Blood is thicker than water" is ok but when dealing wth matters of life it appears to be elementry. I say vows are more thicker than blood!
Vows are more binding,dangerous but their elasticity extends more than having advantage of being a heir to a family responsibility or position.
Bathsheba had to remind King David of his vows to make Solomon a king and it happened.Adonijah as an elderly son aspired to be king because of blood relation only and he failed.
The strength of vows surpasses the traditional expectation and human strength.They can bypass a stale mate anywhere anytime.
Some people who are successfully is bcos of vows whether in darkness or in righteousness,it's a principle to outwit doubt and failure.
God warns us not to rush into vows because they are a seal to agreements not to be broken or else there is a consequence. Jacob asked his brother to make a vow to give him his birth right over a meal.
"...and God vowed never to destroy his people again,so he set a bow as evidence"
