FROM DESTRUCTION TO RESTORATION

Mark 5: 25- 34
(The woman with the issue of blood)

The woman who had an issue of blood, suffered in the hands of many physicians and grew worse. She was declared unclean and anybody who came in contact with her was also declared unclean
The bible says, the woman heard about Jesus. The question might be, what could she have heard about Jesus Christ.

And we are made to believe that this could be what she could have heared;

🥀This is the man who brought confusion when people were going to bury a man, and commanded him back to life
🥀A man that raised Lazarus from the death
🥀A man whom the spirit of God, came upon the mother and told him he will be conceived
When she heard about him, her faith was stirred up

🥀But the woman, once she heard about Jesus, she said, ‘If only I could touch the hem of his garment, I shall be made well”
🥀Some situations just need you to know what words to say, what to declare and what to command
Believers need to know there are some words that germinate when you release them from your mouth.

🌱Already it was difficult for her to say, “If only I could touch the hem of his garment, I shall be made well” because of how she was labelled, as unclean.

🥀Believers ought to learn how to speak the words in all situations.Even in seasons of doubt, of uncleanliness and of loosing hope.
These can be the same words that can change situations.

🌱The woman said, “If only I could touch the hem of his garment” And it became a declaration. Words of faith. And words that changed her situation.

🥀Remind yourself everyday that, the Lord is our light and salvation, our strong fortress, that God will never forsake you, he is where our help comes from.

🥀The more the woman declared, the more her situation was dealt with.
She kept telling herself, “If only I could touch the hem of his garment, I shall be made well”
Words that stirred up her faith.

There is always a name and blood that can change your situation, and it is the name of Jesus.

🥀“There is still restoration in the blood of Jesus”

📖1 Samuel 4:11-22

🌱The ark of the covenant was the ark of holiness
The Israelites during war, found victory through the covenant of the ark
🌱When the Philistines went for war with the Israelites, they captured the Ark because they knew it was the source of their strength.
🌱After they captured it, the Israelites lost the battle

🌱This shows that God has a covenant with his people.
He has a mandate of glory for everybody.

🌱It teaches us also that there is something that we need to take care of and uphold preciously.
Just like the Israelites, they had to keep the Ark of the covenant close and take care of it.
When they lost it, they lost the war.

🌱So should christians, we need to hold Jesus Christ preciously and as the most important factor of our lives.
🌱The duty of a christian is to take care of the Jesus Christ that we received. To hold him close and precious to make sure we don’t loose him in the process so that we stay victorious, blessed, worthy and above all to be children of God.

Luke 18:1
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

🌱If we happen to lose God in the process, we may loose a lot of things. We may lose our blessing’s, we may encounter attacks and loose our spiritual blessings.

TITLE :MESSENGER/SERVANT OF GOD

🌱A messenger is a person who carries the message of the cross.
🌱A messenger is the embodiment of the word of God.
🌱He is a man who believes in God and operates fully in the presence of God himself.
🌱A messenger should be a person of a steadfast spirit: A man who believes in God through every circumstance, through poverty, through unemployment, through riches.
🌱He is a man that believes that in all he trusts God
and carries faith like Job.
As a christian who is a messenger in the Kingdom, you need to have unshakeable faith, built on a rock

🥀As a messenger to be approved by God, you need to have love, to be a righteous person, to be a faithful person and extend these qualities to the people around you.
Unless you do that, the master cannot trust you.

🥀It is our duty to attract the presence of God in our lives
The bible says, we are all children of God, but to carry the kingdom to people we need to have the heart of God.
God permitted the devil, to test his servant Job, because he knew his heart. It was built on his unshakeable faith.
He was tested in all things,he lost everything, he lost his children, he also got sick.
To a point that his wife said, “why don’t you forsake God and leave him just like he did you”
What we learn is the devil knew that if he can send his wife, to tell him to curse God, he will fall into it.
But Job remained his hope in God.

🥀In whatever circumstance, do not lose your faith in God. You are a messenger close to God’s heart, he will never leave you.

🌱A messenger is a man who trust fully in God. He is not a man that lives to please those around him. That is why Paul said, “fix your eyes in the things not of this world but the things above”
The riches of this world cannot save you, but God’s word.

🌱A messenger must possess faith like Job
He should be a prayerful person. Prayer gives God residence in your heart.
A prayerful man is backed up by God
When you pray, you tell God this is what I want to happen here on earth and the heavens can agree with you.
🥀In the book of Mark, the bible says whatever you pray for , has been given to you.
When you pray and ask for something, God gives it you. But it doesn’t happen miraculously , he will give you an opportunity to nurture that what he has given you so that you can have it.

🌱A messenger must be a man of Love
📖1John 4:7
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. “

🥀Love is a strong feeling of passion. Through love, you are born of God.
Your heart must be open for everyone, that is how we know, this is a man sanctified by God.
🥀A loving person shall never judge, if you stand to judge, you don’t have God.
The golden rule, “Do unto others what you would like them to do unto you” should stay in the heart of a messenger
🥀Love is the foundation of faith.

🌱A messenger is the light of the world. And it should reflect in how you live with people. A messenger should attract, and give hope to the people around him/herself.
🥀Light is how you live your life, and if people wants to live like you, that is how you know you are a messenger.

🌱A messenger lives his/her life in a distinguished way. We should not be like the world. A messenger is different.
We should live like how Christ lived, be a righteous man and be people that are pleasing to God.
🥀We should be true and faithful ambassadors to the word of God.
🥀We ought to transform our lives and be good messengers of God.
🥀 We reference this from the scripture, “This book of the law, should never depart from our lips.” A messenger ought to meditate on the word, and live the word.

📖John 14:26
“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
📖Isaiah 61:1
“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,”

🌱Every person needs the holy spirit, to be able to do things righteously, in a manner permissive of God
The holy spirit teaches us how to pray, how to listen to God and how to conduct ourselves.

🌱We are bound to have the spirit of God, so we know how to live and do our things. So it guides us and gives us direction wherever we need it.

📖 Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

🌱The spirit gives us the strength to pray, to hold on
It gives us a merciful heart, a meek spirit and a pure heart.
We sought our strength from the holy spirit.

🌱We need to have the holy spirit so we are able to walk and conduct ourselves in the ways pleasing to God.

🌱The spirit works in us, if we also work in ourselves
It works when we are at work to perfect our lives.

CULTIVATING THE SPIRIT OF GRATITUDE

📖Matthew 25:14-30
The Parable of the Bags of Gold

🌱God had given them according to his abilities but the attitudes of people before God differentiated them from the outcome of what they were given
God blesses us daily, but it is common for believers to not thank God
🌱We often find it difficult to thank God, when we came asking and begging

🌱Believers are like the people of Israel during their journey. They were complaining and murmuring, they forgot that God blessed them by parting the red sea.

🌱It is the fruit of our lips to thank God.

🌱It is a sacrifice that should come from our lips
All the time a child of God should have a heart full of gratitude.

🌱We have every reason to thank God
There are some people who do not have what you have, and that is enough to give thanks to God
We have every reason to thank God, every little thing, and everything else, we have every reason to give thanks to God.
The oxygen we breath, the families we have, our bodies, our careers we are obliged to give God back the glory.

🌱At all times we need to give thanks. As the body of christ we need to make a sacrifice to come and give thanks back to God.
We need to thank God for his divine provision. Sometimes he works behind the curtain, he has blessed us even in ways we might not be aware of.

🌱Some of us, we are the second Abrahams, we have been blessed numerically.
To expand and increase. We have been blessed in our households, to nurture generations.

🌱We need to sit and say, Ebenezer; for indeed he has brought us this far

🌱God commands us to give thanks, We are the children of God, and we ought to give thanks to our father for all he has done for us.

🌱We ought to always enter his gates with thanksgiving.
