God knows my heart.
For the past week, I have found myself praying intensely for young ministers across the nations. On several occasions, I have prayed with tears, asking the Lord to preserve this generation and keep us focused on His purpose.
The truth is that no single person can do this work alone. No matter how gifted, anointed, or powerful one minister may be, the harvest is too great for one man. We need thousands and millions of focused men and women of God. We need pastors, evangelists, prophets, teachers, and apostles who are united in purpose, carrying the same burden for souls, advancing the Kingdom, and making Jesus known to the ends of the earth.
My prayer has simply been this:
"Lord, help us stay focused."
Before I continue, please hear my heart.
Everything I am about to say is spoken in love. If any part of this message challenges you, please know that it is not coming from a place of bitterness, jealousy, or judgment. I am speaking as a fellow laborer in the vineyard, a man who is still growing, still learning, and still depending on the mercy of God every day.
I have made mistakes. I am still learning lessons. But because I love this generation and desire to see young ministers fulfill their divine assignments, I feel compelled to share what is on my heart.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will give you discernment to receive this message in the spirit of love in which it is written.
One of the greatest dangers facing this generation of young ministers is the obsession with trends.
I have observed that many young men of God are constantly drawn to whatever is trending at the moment. When politics is trending, they suddenly become political commentators. When football is trending, they become football analysts. When a national incident occurs, everyone wants to release a prophecy or make a statement about it.
But there is a difference between trending and making an impact.
Trending is temporary. Impact is eternal.
Anybody can trend. It does not take an anointing to trend. Social media can make anybody trend. Controversy can make anybody trend. Opinions can make anybody trend.
But it takes a man who has been with God to make an impact.
The question is not whether people are talking about you.
The question is: What are you building for God?
How many souls have been saved through your ministry?
How many disciples are you raising?
How many pastors have you trained?
How many churches have been planted?
How many cities are being transformed because of your obedience to God?
Many young ministers are distracted because they have not yet discovered their assignment. When you know what God has called you to do, distractions lose their power over you.
A man who knows his calling does not need every microphone.
A man who knows his calling does not need every platform.
A man who knows his calling does not need to comment on every issue.
He stays focused on his assignment.
One of the greatest forms of wisdom is learning not only from the successes of our fathers but also from their mistakes. Many of the fathers who have matured in ministry learned through painful experiences that there are battles God never called them to fight and discussions God never called them to join.
Today, most of them stay focused because they understand the cost of unnecessary involvement.
Young minister, learn from those ahead of you.
Not everything deserves your opinion.
Not everything deserves your attention.
Not everything deserves your prophecy.
There are things that may increase your popularity but decrease your effectiveness.
There are things that may make you trend but will never help you fulfill your calling.
Football prophecies may make you trend.
Political prophecies may make you trend.
Commenting on every controversy may make you trend.
But when we come to your church, what do we find?
Disciples or spectators?
Soldiers or fans?
A movement or merely a social media presence?
The men who take territories for God are rarely the men chasing trends.
They are the men hidden in the cave of preparation.
They are the men in prayer.
They are the men studying the Word.
They are the men discipling others.
They are the men building quietly while heaven watches.
Jesus Himself demonstrated this.
He was never distracted by every debate in society. Even when they tried to draw Him into political arguments, He simply said:
"Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's." (Matthew 22:21)
Then He continued with His assignment.
He kept preaching.
He kept teaching.
He kept healing.
He kept discipling.
He remained focused.
The Gospel is bigger than trends.
The Gospel is villages being reached.
The Gospel is souls being saved.
The Gospel is churches being planted.
The Gospel is pastors being trained.
The Gospel is disciples being raised.
The Gospel is nations being transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.
God has not called us to chase relevance.
He has called us to fulfill our ministry.
Young man of God, identify your calling.
Develop the capacity required for that calling.
Stay committed to that calling.
Stay faithful to that calling.
Stay focused on that calling.
Do not allow trends to replace your assignment.
Do not allow popularity to replace purpose.
Do not allow attention to replace impact.
Celebrities live for trends.
Men of God live for purpose.
And when your life is over, heaven will not reward you for what trended.
Heaven will reward you for what fulfilled God's purpose.
Stay focused.
Stay focused.

And fulfill your ministry.
