There has been a growing trend where some established ministries and denominational leaders openly criticize or discourage believers from attending newly established churches and young ministries.

I have personally experienced situations where members of our church were attacked or discouraged from staying because some believe there is “no future” in what we are building.
Respectfully, how do we determine that a ministry has no future? Who truly knows what God intends to establish tomorrow?

Every denomination that exists today once began with one man or a small group of believers responding to a call. There is no denomination on earth that Jesus personally founded as a structure.
Jesus founded the Church (Matthew 16:18). Denominations were later formed by men for administration, identity, and continuity. They serve organizational purposes, but they are not the foundation of salvation.

Christ loves His Church (Ephesians 5:25), not a brand name.

It is important to acknowledge something honestly:
Some independent or “one-man” churches lack structure, accountability, and proper governance. This is true. Lack of oversight can lead to errors, scandals, and imbalance.
Accountability and strong systems do not only protect a ministry, they protect the pastor as well (Proverbs 11:14).
I am personally cautious in many decisions because I am accountable to fathers, mentors, and church leadership. I have built structures around myself for protection and integrity. That is wisdom.

However, it is unfair and inaccurate to assume that every young church is corrupt, unstable, or destined to fail simply because it is young.

Where people exist, issues will exist.

We have:
Good doctors and bad doctors.
Good teachers and bad teachers.
Good engineers and bad engineers.

The profession itself is not evil, it is the character of individuals that determines outcomes.
The same applies to churches.

Let us not hate the prophetic because of excesses.
Let us not despise young ministries

However, it is unfair and inaccurate to assume that every young church is corrupt, unstable, or destined to fail simply because it is young.

Where people exist, issues will exist.

We have:
Good doctors and bad doctors.
Good teachers and bad teachers.
Good engineers and bad engineers.

The profession itself is not evil, it is the character of individuals that determines outcomes.
The same applies to churches.

Let us not hate the prophetic because of excesses.
Let us not despise young ministries because of past disappointments.

Scripture warns us:
“Who are you to judge another man’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls.” (Romans 14:4)

We must be careful not to condemn what God may be nurturing.

Yes, there is disorder in some ministries.
But there is also revival.
Souls are being saved daily.
Lives are being transformed.

Gamaliers wisdom in Acts 5:38–39 reminds us that if something is of men, it will fail; but if it is of God, we cannot overthrow it.

Instead of mockery, let there be mentorship.
Instead of condemnation, let there be counsel.
Instead of rivalry, let there be fatherhood.

The Body of Christ is one (1 Corinthians 12:12).

If someone enters a church and genuinely encounters Christ, grows in doctrine, and develops spiritually, that is a win for the Kingdom. The name on the signboard is secondary to the presence of Jesus in the house.

Any church where Christ is not preached should be left (Galatians 1:8).

But where Christ is exalted, souls are nurtured, and growth is evident, believers should be allowed to stay and flourish.

Denominations are administrative structures. They are not the measure of spiritual authenticity. God does not evaluate us by labels but by fruit (Matthew 7:16).

Let us not divide what Christ died to unify.

Let us not destroy the confidence of believers in young ministries simply because they are not part of our circles. It is painful when pastors relate only within denominational lines while preaching unity from the pulpit.

We must do better in this generation.

If there are weaknesses in young ministries, let us:
Pray for them.
Teach sound doctrine.
Encourage structure and accountability.
Offer mentorship where welcomed.
But let us not despise small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10).

Many of today’s strongest denominations were once criticized, mocked, and misunderstood in their early days. History proves this repeatedly.

In the end, it is not about protecting our brand.
It is about protecting the Bride of Christ.

May we choose maturity over rivalry.
May we choose unity over insecurity.
May we choose prayer over mockery.
For if Christ is preached and glorified, the Kingdom advances, and that is what truly matters (Philippians 1:18).

Selah.
