31/05/26 SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS 🦅
Sunday was nothing short of the the mighty presence of God, believers gathered in one accord praising, worshipping and adorning the name of the Lord from the deepest of their heart. With hearts full of gratitude and thanksgiving and hearts full of expectation the Lord indeed honored gathering of the saints!
Taking His reading from Matthew 7: 11 which reads " If you then,being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"
Apostle began to encourage the church that God hears prayers and He knows what we need over what we want. Our needs matters most to God more than our wants! Needs are essentials to our daily livelihood and our spiritual growth, that is, everything good that God gives to us serves a great purpose even though us as believers we might not have desired that at that particular moment! Our wants are just personal desires, they are not urgent, even if we don't get them we won't perish. The man of God emphasized the need to suppress WANTS over NEEDS, least we fall into temptation and move away from the will and presence of God. God is a father, He knows what all of us His children NEED and hence forth every blessing He gives is specific to our needs.
The man of God cautioned the church to always be thankful for what God is doing in their lives, even when it doesn't make sense at that time. In God's wholeness, He knows what He is doing and in the end when it all makes sense, you will realize that indeed God is a God who takes care of His own. GOD IS MUCH MORE INTERESTED IN YOUR FAITH MORE THAN THE BLESSING ITSELF. Often times He withholds certain things from His children in order to better their FAITH IN HIM FIRST, to make their faith in Him, stronger, better, tougher and more powerful, so that once the blessing lands on their hands, they are able to appreciate it, cherish it and that they are not easily moved from the presence of God thinking that its all that God has to offer. REMEMBER THAT, IN AND OUT OF SEASON, GOD IS STILL GOD!
In conclusion , Apostle said, if mperfect, sinful humans know how to take care of their kids, how much more will a perfect, loving and entirely good heavenly Father take care of His children? God is not a distant being always waiting to punish you. Hence we are invited to pray with confidence while making our requests known unto God. Our God is a generous, loving Father who delights in answering our prayers and giving good things to those who come to Him and seeking Him earnestly to supply ALL OUR NEEDS according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus as Apostle mentioned in Philippians 4:19.
