13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
1. SALT PRESERVES
Salt stops decay.
We are called to preserve what is good. Stand for truth when culture is rotting. Stand for marriage, for integrity, for righteousness.
In your workplace, be the one who won’t join gossip. That’s preserving.
2. SALT FLAVORS
Food without salt is dull.
Christians should make life taste better. Bring joy in a stressed office. Bring peace in a tense home. Bring hope in a hopeless situation. Romans 14:17
3. SALT CREATES THIRST
Salt makes you thirsty for water.
Our lives should make people thirsty for Jesus. When they see how you handle pressure, loss, or success, they should ask ,Why are you different?
If salt loses its taste” If we become just like the world, we lose influence.
God didn’t call us to blend in. He called us to stand out.
POINT 2: YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD v14-15
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”
1. LIGHT EXPOSES DARKNESS
Turn on a light and insects scatter.
Your holy life exposes sin, not by preaching at people, but by living right. Your honesty at work exposes corruption.
2. LIGHT GUIDES PEOPLE
A city on a hill helps travelers find their way at night.
People are lost. They’re looking for direction. Your life should point them to Jesus.
Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket”God didn’t save you to hide you. He put you in your department, in your family, on that street on purpose.
Jesus is the Light. John 8:12. But now He lives in us. So we are to shine the earth 🌎 ✨️
Prayer Points:May God help us to flavour the earth through our lives and to be the light that shines wherever we go 🚶♀️ ✨️ through our lives let us illuminate others with Christ 🌎🙏🌄🌄🎤
