The Bible tells us the secret of Pentecost. Before the wind of the Holy Spirit rushed into the upper room, unity knit the hearts of the early disciples: "They were all with one accord in one place" (Acts 2:1b, KJV). The phrase "in one accord" comes from the Greek word homothymadon, which literally refers to musical harmony. Holy Spirit manifests His power when God's people play the same song the Conductor is playing! He does not want us simply in unity with each other; true unity is only possible when we are on the same page with Him. Do we want another Pentecost? We must come together. We must worship together. We must put aside the hurts of the past, the awkward racial tensions and the bitter divisions between races, tribes, cultures and denominations. It is time to dismantle what separates us. This also means pastors must stop building their small fiefdoms and recognise that God's vast kingdom includes all born-again believers. There is only one true church. Ephesians 4:4 (MEV) says, "There is one body and one Spirit, even as you were called in one hope of your calling." True unity will also require us to drop the guardrails and get uncomfortably personal. The early church not only met in the temple BUT also "house to house" (Acts 2:46). People who share meals in homes start acting like a real family. We are one. We must start acting like it, or we'll miss the move of God.

I am reminded of Peter who had been imprisoned for his outspoken faith (see Acts 12:4-8). Behind prison walls, Peter had been placed under the security of four squads of soldiers, bound tightly with two chains and secured between two soldiers. In Peter's darkest hour, it seemed as if his voice for Christ would be silenced forever. It appeared like all hope was lost—that his cause for Christ was too weak a match for the enemy. But in that darkest hour, voices were still speaking out for Christ. Acts 12:5 states that, "Constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church" (NKJV). The results were miraculous—an angel rescued Peter and led him to freedom. SO, you and I must not be thrown by the persecutions and threats that come against believers today. We must not be discouraged to the point of not praying or speaking out as voices for Christ. After all, God's Word reveals we might be persecuted, but we are not forsaken (see 2 Cor. 4:9). Come what may, KEEP THE FAITH!!

All that mattered to the father in Luke 15 was that his lost son had come home. He didn’t even want to know what sins he had committed. The Prodigal son was lost and now he was found. Dead BUT now alive! JESUS did not come to SHAME sinners BUT to SAVE sinners. KNOW that ““Today salvation has come to this household,…….. for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”” Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭(AMP‬‬). SO, make a decision today that if you fall, you fall in the hands of the Saviour. Accept Jesus into your heart as your Lord and personal Saviour. ! !

When God asked Moses to deliver God’s people out of slavery, Moses responded, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:11. King David, who was described as a man after God’s own heart, also said “But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to You?” 1 Chronicles 29:14 NLT. When an angel of the Lord encouraged Gideon to take on the Midianites, he immediately offered his not-so-impressive CV to prove why he wasn’t up for the task. The insecure warrior said, “But Lord… how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” Judges 6:15-16. If these stories tell us anything, if we’ve ever felt like we’re not good enough or important enough or worthy for what He has assigned to do here on earth , KNOW that He who is calling you knows you and He is not looking at your ability or how good you are. The perfect sweet spot with the Lord is to trust Him rather than ourselves. The truth is everyone whom God called He never asked for what they can bring to the table, not by their strength, cleverness, resources, insights and wisdom, BUT their SURRENDER to Him and their AVAILABILITY.

John 15:1
In the sacred discourse in the upper room, when Jesus bared His heart to His disciples, He stressed the necessity and possibility of maintaining the closest, most intimate fellowship with Himself.

To illustrate He told the parable of the vine and the branches, with its central lesson that only as the branch remained in the vine in INTIMATE and vital CONTACT, would it be fruitful. “ As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in me”

1 John 1:9 “ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive…”

The concept behind the Greek word for CONFESS is “to say the same thing”, in other words, to admit oneself to be guilty of what one is charged with. When we confess our sin and acknowledge our guilt to God, we agree with Him in His assessment of the seriousness of our sin and take sides with Him against it.
In other words, when we confess any sin, it means that we are agreeing with what God says about it, and taking the attitude toward it that He does.

Shalom!
