"10 Reasons why some backslide and no longer go to church"

1. They become compromising to the system of this world. Going back to carnality / Worldliness! (Romans 12:1-2).

2. They have bitterness / hatred in their heart and has difficulties to forgive their offenders.

3. They are not willing to engage in spiritual warfare, allowing the enemy to make them captives. (John 10:10).

4. They prioritise their work / jobs or making money. (Materialism):

5. They have a negative view of church. They thought they don't need church in following and serving Christ.

6. They believed that they are the church so they no longer commit to a local church nor submit to God given church leadership. This is a perverted view of Scriptures regarding church. Yes it is true that we are the church but the Bible is very clear that as disciples of Christ we should not neglect the gathering of the brethren in the local church setting.

7. They are offended by the church - members or leadership.

8. They are spiritually dried up. Allowing to be in bo***ge of Sin and have taken hold of them.

9. They are afraid of taking on spiritual responsibilities. They don't want to serve God.

10. They make their family an excuse not to connect to a church. Seems valid but not acceptable to God. As disciples of Christ we need both family and church. We should not neglect one over the other.

One sign of a backslider is they isolate themselves from the local church body and don't want to submit to a spiritual covering from a spiritual leader. They think they are okay but the truth is they are blinded and spiritually bankrupt. Allowing to be trap by Satan and demonic forces:

Leadership is not built on titles, platforms, or applause.
It is born in the weight of responsibility and the sacred trust of people placed in your hands.

Anyone can hold a position.
But not everyone can carry people.

A true leader does not climb by stepping on others.
A true leader rises by lifting others.

They steady the weak.
They strengthen the weary.
They speak courage into hearts that have almost forgotten how to hope.

Real leadership is not self-promotion.
It is self-sacrifice.

It is the quiet decision to serve when no one is watching.
It is listening when it would be easier to command.
It is giving when it would be easier to keep.

A leader understands that influence is not proven by how many people follow them,
but by how many people grow because of them.

Many pursue leadership for recognition.
They crave the microphone, the title, the platform.

But heaven measures leadership differently.

Heaven looks for servants.

Jesus shattered the world’s definition of greatness when He said:

“But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all.”
Mark 10:43–44

In the Kingdom of God, greatness kneels before it stands.
Authority washes feet before it carries crowns.

Leadership is costly.

It will stretch your patience.
It will test your humility.
It will place you in lonely valleys where the applause fades and the responsibility remains.

But within that sacrifice is transformation.

Because the leader who serves with humility does more than lead people for a moment.
They shape lives for generations.

Every act of patience plants a seed.
Every sacrifice waters a future you may never see.
Every decision to put others before yourself writes a legacy deeper than fame.

Titles fade.
Platforms shift.
Crowns tarnish.

But a life poured out in service echoes long after the name on the door is forgotten.

So if God has called you to lead, do not chase the spotlight.

Behind many church conflicts, broken spiritual coverings, and silent rebellions is not mere misunderstanding — it is a spirit of control.
The spirit of Jezebel does not attack from outside; it infiltrates. It does not shout first; it seduces. It does not confront openly; it manipulates privately. Jezebel marries herself to kings and poisons them from the bedchamber. She whispers into leadership and then rules from behind the throne.
In Scripture, we see this spirit manifested through Jezebel, the wife of King Ahab. Though Ahab wore the crown, Jezebel controlled the kingdom. She funded false prophets, silenced true voices, and sought to eliminate the authority of God’s altar.
This spirit is still active today — not as a person, but as a pattern.

Now let us expose the patterns.
20 SPIRITS OF JEZEBEL

1. The Spirit of Control
Must dominate conversations, decisions, and outcomes.

2. The Spirit of Manipulation
Uses emotions, guilt, and charm to get its way.

3. The Spirit of Seduction
Not always sexual — sometimes intellectual or spiritual seduction.

4. The Spirit of Rebellion
Refuses submission to rightful spiritual authority.

5. The Spirit of False Prophecy
Claims spiritual insight but leads people away from truth.

6. The Spirit of Intimidation
Threatens, pressures, and instills fear in leaders.

7. The Spirit of Division
Creates factions and secret alliances within churches and families.

8. The Spirit of Usurpation
Tries to take authority that was never assigned.

9. The Spirit of Jealousy
Cannot tolerate another’s influence or favor.

10. The Spirit of Accusation
Constantly criticizes and discredits genuine servants.

11. The Spirit of Isolation
Separates leaders from counsel and accountability.

12. The Spirit of Pride
Refuses correction and cannot apologize.

13. The Spirit of Witchcraft
Uses subtle spiritual manipulation and control tactics.

14. The Spirit of Flattery
Praises publicly to control privately.

Men don't fail because of lack of effort.
But also because of lack of direction.

Entering a new year without direction is like increasing speed without a map.
The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance.” Proverbs 21:5
But diligence without direction only produces exhaustion.

Movement is not progress if God is not leading it.

Before Abraham had a destination, he had a voice.
Before Jesus began His ministry, He followed the Spirit.

Divine direction is not about knowing everything, it is about knowing the next step.
God does not guide by pressure; He guides by light.

This year, don’t pray only for open doors, pray for clear leading.
An open door without God’s direction can still lead you out of His will.

But even a narrow path, if God is in it, ends in fulfillment.

Divine direction is not about knowing everything,
it is about knowing the next step.
Divine direction protects you from wasted years wrong associations, and costly detours.

When God leads, timing aligns, strength is supplied, and peace becomes your confirmation.
As you step into this year, let your greatest prayer be this:
“Lord, order my steps.”
Because one instruction from God is more powerful than a thousand good ideas.

If by any chance you meet me in person or through social media understand this, I am not a celebrity, nor am I a socialite I am a pastor.
I do not owe society an image that satisfies its expectations my purpose is not defined by body shape, fashion labels or outward appearance.

I am a shepherd.

A shepherd is not called to impress the crowd but to tend the flock
A shepherd smells like the sheep walks through valleys stands guard in the night and answers to God not to trends.

My assignment is spiritual not cosmetic.
My measure is obedience not applause.

I was not called to build an image I was called to build souls.

Not to compete for attention but to carry a mantle.

My identity is rooted in my calling

WITH DISCERNMENT AND GODLY WISDOM,CHOOSE A HUSBAND FOR YOURSELF THEN LETS REVISIT THE SUBMISSION TALK

Lovely ladies who say, “I won’t submit to some guy!” God never asked you to do that. Scripture says, “WIVES, submit to your OWN husbands.”

The issue is often “some guy(s)” and rightly so. Those are not your husbands. Submission is not random; it is covenant-based.

Choose wisely the man you commit your life to,the one to submit to.Then the conversation makes sense.

The wives who speak confidently about submitting to their husbands are speaking about men they chose freely, men no one forced on them. Most importantly, they chose wisely.

DONT FORGET TO CHOOSE FOR YOURSELF,SO YOU DON’T BLAME ALL MEN ON EARTH FOR YOUR OWN CHOICES.

Ministry is not child's play but a walk, purpose that is ordained by God for his will and advancement of his Kingdom. You cannot serve two masters at the same time, you are deceiving yourself. Whenever God calls someone into ministry there are certain things that must be kept and followed by such. That is called CONSECRATION: the consecrations that you keep are what sets you apart from the general. The scripture says that thou art of a purer eyes oh Lord, your eyes cannot behold iniquity. How can you be so confident ministering before God and on his altar yet you are in Sin? How dare you?

Every minister must be Pure, Holy and dedicated to the mandate before him/her

1. PURITY

🔵 Purity of the heart
🔵 Purity of thoughts
🔵Purity of speech
🔵 Purity of the body

Maintain all these‼️

2. HOLINESS

To be Holy means you are set apart, different in your own class. God said he Holy for I am Holy‼️

The reason why your worship, Prayers don't attract God's presence or reach him is because you have defiled yourself with the lusts of the flesh and worldly things. Return to your first love - Revelation 2:4 - Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

NB: God will never walk with a man of compromises, one who doesn't walk on his paths and doesn't keep his statues.

Apostle Benjamin Madiego encourages that if you are in sin, don't minister at church. Don't touch the microphone until you have repented from your ways. Because of this disorder the church is seen wrongly and many people have left church. Ministers CHANGE‼️

FOR MINISTERS WHO ARE SERIOUS; PROVOKING ENCOUNTERS

1. Self- purification ( Purge oneself )
2. Make God's will your priority
3. Seek God with all your heart ( Intimacy)
4. Honour the Man of God, the anointing works for those who honour it
5. Avoid the Flesh; it is nothing but a distraction
