The Jerusalem Bethesda Church of Christ in Africa- 'Izinkonjane" In 1958, JBCOC- Izinkonjane opened its first Branch in Maiphitlhwane ward, in Pitsane. The leader of the Branch at that time was the Late Johannes Ramontsho

The church was founded in 1939 by the Late Arch Bishop E.E Mathunjwa and the gospel spread to neighbouring countries like Botswana, Zimbabwe Zambia and South Africa
