Grace and peace from God to you WCC family, well-wishers and partners! "...So here I am today, eighty-five years old. I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out. I'm just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then" (Joshua 14: 19-11). These are the words of Caleb at eighty-five years of age. I have a question for everyone here today, more especially to the older folks: Where do you see yourself in the next five years? If you do not think such thoughts and do not ask yourself such questions, you have retired from life; you are merely existing and not living. Here are some thoughts to ponder on: 1. In every child there is an adult, and in every adult there is a child. 2. An adult in childhood brings an element of responsibility, a child in adulthood brings life and vitality. 3. It is for this very reason that some children behave like adults, and some adults behave like children. 4. A child who kills an adult in him remains a child, and an adult who kills a child in them, ages rapidly and retires from life. 5. From this notion comes the maxim: As you age, don't stop playing, change the way you play and what you play with. 6. It is a child in an adult that keeps them young, vibrant and dreaming. Ask Caleb at age eighty-five, he will tell you. 7. As you age, never kill the child in you, just know how to keep the adult and the child together.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years? Let's talk.
