Genesis 2[15] And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Psalms 1[1] Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.[3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

God has allowed you to cross over into 2021 so that you may be a responsible citizen in the earth he created. You are expected to work and add value to everything in your space. Choose your associates wisely in 2021 as your success depends also on who you shall be working and spending your time with.

Proverbs 1[7] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Many people are more concerned about what people will think or say about their secret sins when they are exposed. In 2021 I urge every child of God to fear God more than being caught or discovered in sin by people. You may hide from everyone but be assured God is watching.

WHAT SHALL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR?

Genesis 4[21]When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. [22]After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters.[23] Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years.[24] Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.[25] When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.[26] After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. [27]Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.

While Enoch was remembered for his faithfulness in walking with God, his son Methuselah is only known for living the longest. What will be your legacy?

Genesis 8[1]And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged; [2] The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained; [3] And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.

In the same manner that God remembered Noah before, during and after the 150 day lockdown in the ark while the whole earth flooded, may he also remember you at this time.

Genesis 11[5] But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. [6]The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

There is power in unity, agreement and working together be it in families at the workplace or in the house of God.

Revelation 4[11] Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Let us approach the throne of God with the right attitude today knowing that he alone is worthy to be praised and worshipped. It is time to give God undivided attention as we serve and honour him with all that is in us.

Jonah 1[1] The Lord gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai: “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.” But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the Lord . He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the Lord by sailing to Tarshish.

When God calls you for a task he provides the resources for it. See how Jonah had to pay his own fare when going to Tarshish in disobedience while God provided a fish to carry him back to Nineveh for free.

Micah 3[11] You rulers make decisions based on bribes; you priests teach God’s laws only for a price; you prophets won’t prophesy unless you are paid. Yet all of you claim to depend on the Lord . “No harm can come to us,” you say, “for the Lord is here among us.”

During Micah's time there was no distinction between those in the church and outside in terms of moral conduct. May God help us in our generation. May he rid us of the commercialisation of the gospel by today's preachers and the corruption in the secular world.

Micah 7[8] Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

To some individuals and families 2020 saw them being seriously affected economically, socially and health wise due to many factors including Covid-19. Remember God is able to restore all you lost and help you pick up the pieces for the journey ahead. It shall be well.

Proverbs 30[7] Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: [8]Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: [9] Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord ? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

Pray that your life may be balanced enough to keep you loving, worshipping and serving God. May God help you manage success and prosperity. May he rid you of poverty.

Psalms 120[1]In my distress I cried unto the Lord , and he heard me.

Isn't it good to know that when you face challenges you can cry to God and he will hear you and respond? As we end 2020, be assured that the God who heard you throughout the year will continue being faithful in December and the rest of 2021.

Proverbs 28[27] Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.

When God blesses you and your family he expects you to remember the less privileged around you. God will always make sure that you and your family lack nothing if you are givers to the poor. The month of December reminds us of the need to give as God gave us his only son to save us from eternal death.

Daniel 11[32] And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Today is a special day to us as a couple after spending 26 years together in marriage. We have seen the help of God in this marriage and in our ministry in the house of God. Together we wish you people of God increased knowledge of God and strength in your spirit, soul and body. We pray that you will be able to do exploits for yourselves and the house of God. May God amplify the work of your hands.

Psalms 124[1] If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say; [2] If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us: [3] Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: [4]Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

Yes we saw God at work in our lives. It's time to praise him.

Hosea 4[1]Hear the word of the Lord , ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. [6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

May you actively seek to know God, people, systems and how things are done in life. Knowledge is power.

3 John 1[2] Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

May you proper in your spirit, soul and body.

Daniel's Prayer for his people

Daniel 9:1-11
In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, by descent a Mede, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans—
in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, perceived in the books the number of years that, according to the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet, must pass before the end of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years.
Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession, saying, O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments,
We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
To you, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far away, in all the lands to which you have driven them, because of the treachery that they have committed against you.
To us, O Lord, belongs open shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you.
To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him
and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
All Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, refusing to obey your voice. And the curse and oath that are written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because we have sinned against him.

Christ our Advocate

1 John 2:-6
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments.
Whoever says I know him but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,
but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may be sure that we are in him:
whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard.

The New Comandment

1 John 2--14
Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard.
At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.
Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.
Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.
But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name's sake.
I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, children, because you know the Father.
I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

Do not love the world

1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.
And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Ezekiel 44[15]“However, the Levitical priests of the family of Zadok continued to minister faithfully in the Temple when Israel abandoned me for idols. These men will serve as my ministers. They will stand in my presence and offer the fat and blood of the sacrifices, says the Sovereign Lord . [23]They will teach my people the difference between what is holy and what is common, what is ceremonially clean and unclean.

Servants of God should remain steadfast, faithful and be the last line of defence in a world with so much sin and compromise. Children of God look up to you for direction servants of God.

1 Peter 2[9]But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Royalty means kingship, rulership, dominion, prosperity and abundance of wealth. Priesthood speaks of praise and worship at the highest level with a deep revelation of who God is. Now the combination here is called a Royal Priesthood which means being both a king and a priest. This is what you are. Do not underestimate the work that Jesus accomplished for you at the cross.

Proverbs 28[13] People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.

There is so much cover up for sin in today's Christianity. The solution to all this is genuine repentance.

Daniel 2[20] He said, “Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power. [21] He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.

Since God determines the events in the world he can also take care of the issues in your family. Allow him to take control and give you the wisdom and knowledge you need in your family . It is well for you & your family.

1Peter 5[2]Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. [3] Don’t Lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example.[4] And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.[5] In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Behold the word of God!

2 Peter 1[2[ May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.

May grace abound in all areas of your life. May the remaining two months of 2020 be moments of experiencing new opportunities characterized by open doors.

Psalms 103[1]Bless the Lord , O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. [2] Bless the Lord , O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

As we wind up the month of October today let us take time to look back into the month and praise God and give thanks to him for all he has done for us. Let us not forget.

Hebrews 4[2] For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.[12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Only when you mix with faith the word of God that you hear will it profit you in your life.

Hebrews 3[12] Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.[13]You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.[14] For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. [15] Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.”

Approach the house of God with a heart filled with faith and expectancy.

Hebrews 6[10] For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Train yourself and your family members to always serve God and minister to the saints with cheerful and sincere hearts. God does not forget and one day he will surprise you with good things that will change your future forever.

Psalms 105[37] He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. [44] And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

I bless you with abundant wealth and a healthy body. May great doors of opportunities open for you. May you breakthrough in every aspiration of your life. When all this happens forget not the Lord!

The Authourity of the Son

John 5:-19-29
So Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.
For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.
For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will.
The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son,
that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.
For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.
And he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man.
Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice
and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

Psalms 84[11] For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

May the Lord indeed preserve and protect you & your family. May his favour abound and may God nourish you and your family with good things all the time. Only remember to walk uprightly always.

2 Thessalonians 3[16] Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.

The Hebrew word for peace, šālôm(shalom) translated in Greek as eirēnē, means totality or completeness, success, fulfillment, wholeness, harmony, security and well being. Now this is the peace that I pray to God that he may grant you today child of God.

Jeremiah 29[11]For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. [12]Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. [13]You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Isn't this encouraging to know that you are in the agenda of God for this life? He has all things concerning you under control. It is well child of God.

Jeremiah 30[18]This is what the Lord says: “When I bring Israel home again from captivity and restore their fortunes, Jerusalem will be rebuilt on its ruins, and the palace reconstructed as before. [19]There will be joy and songs of thanksgiving, and I will multiply my people, not diminish them; I will honor them, not despise them. [20]Their children will prosper as they did long ago. I will establish them as a nation before me, and I will punish anyone who hurts them.

I bless you with restoration, joy, multiplication and prosperity.

1 Timothy 3:1-7
In this passage we see the qualifications for those who aspire and should be appointed to be church leaders. These qualities of a good church leader include integrity, self discipline, ability to manage one's domestic life well, maturity and having a good report in and outside the church.

Church leadership positions should not be assigned on the basis of nepotism, tribalism, corruption, favouritism or the amount of wealth or poverty one has.

Jeremiah 33[3]Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

The expectation of God is that his children realise the need to cry to him in prayer whenever they have need of supernatural intervention. Yes, God is able to answer your prayer beyond what you ask or think.

1 Timothy 5[20] Those who sin should be reprimanded in front of the whole church; this will serve as a strong warning to others.

The purpose of discipline in the church (Section 8:22 of the FCC Constitution) is:
1. Glorifying God by maintaining purity in the church.
2. Edifying believers by deterring sin.
3. Promoting the spiritual welfare of the offending believer by calling him/her to return to a biblical standard of doctrine and conduct.

Ephesians 6[19] And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.[20]I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should. NLT

Many of today's preachers are challenged, ensnared and compromised by the love of money, women(and men for female preachers) and pride. Pray for your pastor/preacher.

Isaiah 59[19] So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

May the Spirit of the Lord lift a standard against all satanic attacks on your life. Victory belongs to you.

Isaiah 65[21] And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. [22] They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. [23] They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord , and their offspring with them. [24]And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

These are God's promises for you for the remainder of 2020. Claim them!

Philippians 3[13]Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, [14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

If you want to succeed in life you must learn from your mistakes and be inspired by your successes. Never allow your past failures or successes to hold you back from focusing on the future. Learn to let go of the past and reach out for the future with hope and faith for the better.

Isaiah 40[30] Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. [31]But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. NLT

This is that popular passage in Isaiah with verse 31 translated in the KJV as "But they that wait upon the Lord....". Do you promise to trust in the Lord / wait upon the Lord in all your situations?

Isaiah 43[1]But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. [2]When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. NLT

Covid-19 may have added more difficulties to you and your family but be assured that God is creating new opportunities for you. It is well.

Ephesians 3[20] Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, [21] Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Be assured that God knows and is able to do beyond what you can ask or think. He is God and he knows what is best for you his child.

Proverbs 24[3]By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; [4] through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. NIV

Wisdom, understanding and knowledge are a very critical attributes needed for success in all spheres of life be it spiritually, socially, academically or economically. Cry to God for these very important attributes.

Isaiah 48[17]Thus saith the Lord , thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

From the English dictionary the word "profit" means: to get an advantage or benefit from something; to earn or get money by or from something. May the Lord indeed enable you to profit in all you do.

Isaiah 53[4]Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. [5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. [6] All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Do you realise the great work done by the Lord Jesus for you? Let him remain the focus and reason for your going to church today.

Isaiah 25[9] In that day the people will proclaim, “This is our God! We trusted in him, and he saved us! This is the Lord , in whom we trusted. Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!”

Be assured that this storm you are going through shall pass and you shall testify. The Bible says weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning(Psalms 30:5). It shall be well!

Isaiah 29[13]The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

Today's Christianity is so much characterised by a lot of drama and centred on hero worshipping church leaders rather than a genuine relationship with God coming out of an honest heart. It's time to return to the foot of the cross.

Isaiah 32[18]And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places

This promise is for you child of God. You shall have your own home. Peace, security, economic prosperity and joy shall be common in your home. Sorrow, mourning and sadness shall be replaced by joy and gladness all the time as you see the hand of God at work in your life.

Galatians 5[19]When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, [20]idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, [21] envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Live in such a way that you will not miss heaven. Allow not yourself to be led by your flesh but instead be led by the Spirit of God and live right.

Isaiah 38[1]About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill, and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to visit him. He gave the king this message: “This is what the Lord says: ‘Set your affairs in order, for you are going to die. You will not recover from this illness.’” [2]When Hezekiah heard this, he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord , [3]“Remember, O Lord , how I have always been faithful to you and have served you single-mindedly, always doing what pleases you.” Then he broke down and wept bitterly.

If you were Hezekiah what would you ask the Lord to remember about you?
