BOTSWANA NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL (BNYC)
CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR YOUTH GRANTS
Botswana National Youth Council is mandated to empower young people and young serving organisations to enable them to better lead, serve and contribute to the development of the nation.
This Call for Proposal seeks to provide funding support to Civil Society Organisations (CSO's) including Community Based Organisations (CBO's), Youth led organisations (YSO's), Faith Based Organisation (FBO's), Youth clubs and Agencies working in the field of youth programing.
Applicants must be in line with BNYC Guidelines and must fall under the following thematic areas:
1. Youth and Health - Entailing Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention; Comprehensive Sexuality Education
2. Youth and Economic Empowerment/ Capacity building
3. Youth and Leadership development
4. Character building
Short term and long term proposals with appointed budgets will be accepted.
Who may apply?
Youth serving NGO's and 100% citizen owned companies.
Citizens of Botswana
Organisations legally registered with appropriate authority eg C**A and Registra of Societies.
Must have a high level of integrity and trustworthiness
Must demonstrate prior experience or skill in the thematic area
Must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project e.g not act as an intermediary.
Applicant must submit a proposal for only one thematic area at a time.
Application forms can be collected from and submitted at BNYC-Gaborone HQ or through MySC District office across the country.
Applications start from 9th August and should be received NOT later than 12:30 hours on the 4th September 2019.
