Glorious things are spoken of thee oh city of God. Psalm 87.3
Psalm 87
‘1. His foundation is in the holy mountains.
2 The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
6 The Lord shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
7 As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee. ‘
This Psalm talks about the blessedness of those who are born in the City of God, being Zion, also called Jerusalem. It says this man and that man were born there! It says the Lord will register and count the people and say, this man and that man was born in her! It says the Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all other gates or places. The foundation of God is in this City of Zion, his holy mountain is in this very city called Zion.
This is the city where you and I are born. We are citizens of this city, and this is the best city to belong to, because glorious things are spoken of this city of God! When you became born again, you were born of God and born from that city and you are a citizen of this beloved city! Many people from many tribes and nations in the world have, by accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour gained citizenship in this city. The rights and privileges of those born in this city are totally different from those born any where else. This is the beloved city. We belong to such a beloved City, a heavenly city, the new Jerusalem, the Jerusalem and Zion which is above! Glory to God! What a blessing to be part of such a heavenly convocation!
Walk and live in this consciousness, knowing that you are special and chosen of God to belong to such a special class of beings.
Indeed, you are the prized possession of God, his trophies, the new creation, made in the image of Father God!
Right now you are an ambassador on the earth and your role is to share all there is about the city of your citizenship, and invite others every where to come and also receive this same citizenship as there is room for everyone.
The city of God! The Heavenly Jerusalem, the Zion of God!
In this city, there is nothing evil, no poverty, lack, fear or sorrow or pain; just peace, joy, abundance, harmony and the presence of God and his Christ.
That is why Apostle Paul says in Hebrews 12 .22 "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel."
Walk in the consciousness of your citizenry. Learn about your country of origin, your rights, your duties, the laws thereof.
This is a most wonderful city to belong to as the blood of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ speaks for us and makes us worthy and justifies us. This a city where love reigns and perfection lives.
Meditate on this. Walk in this reality. Know that you have complete access to the Father of Spirits as you dwell where he dwells.
Enjoy the benefits of your city, the amenities and the beauty of it.
Enjoy its goodness.
Establish the same conditions here on earth as in heaven, the city of your citizenry. That is why the Lord’s prayers says you must pray saying, ‘…let your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…’ as an ambassador of Heaven, you have every right to enjoy the protection and rights and privileges of Heaven here on earth, just like an ambassador of the USA in Botswana lives under the protections, rights and privileges and freedoms of the USA, whilst in Botswana. Thus you also enjoy the same protections, rights and privileges and freedoms of Heaven even whilst on earth as you are here on assignment.
Know who you are and to whom your belong.
