“Faith does not speak according to circumstances; it speaks according to the nature and character of God. When we align our words with His Word, we align our lives with His possibilities.” —Bishop Onkeme Letshwiti

At times, the way we speak to certain people is influenced by our desire to fit in, not offend them, or simply because that is how we grew up and what we have become accustomed to over time. These people may be family members, friends, colleagues, superiors or anyone around us. It really does not matter who they are. As believers, our ultimate allegiance must always remain with God and His Word.
There is often pressure to adjust our language, values, and conduct to suit those around us. Sometimes we are tempted to compromise our convictions so that we can be accepted, understood, or appreciated by others. However, as children of God, we should never feel ashamed, embarrassed, or apologetic about speaking and living according to our faith. Our lifestyle demands that we live as believers because we belong to Christ.

The Bible reminds us in Romans 12:2 not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This means that our speech, our attitudes, and our actions should not be dictated by the culture around us but by the Word of God within us. We are called to stand out, not blend in. We are called to represent Christ wherever we go.

Another challenge believers face is the temptation to speak according to circumstances. When situations appear difficult, impossible, or discouraging, it becomes easy to talk like everyone else. We may begin to speak based on what we see, feel, or hear. Yet faith does not focus on circumstances; faith focuses on God.
Faith always sees the bigger picture. It looks beyond the problem and fixes its eyes on the Creator of heaven and earth. It recognizes that God is above every situation, above every limitation, and above every report that contradicts His Word. Faith understands that God has the final say.
As believers, we are people who take God at His Word because He is faithful. If He has spoken, He will surely bring it to pass. We serve a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to His power at work in us (Ephesians 3:20). There is nothing too difficult for Him and nothing beyond His ability. God has no record of failing!

God is God all by Himself. He does not need counsel, advice, or assistance from anyone. He is all-wise, all-knowing, and all-powerful. One of His names and attributes is Ezer, meaning Helper. He knows exactly what to do at all times. Before a problem arises, He already knows the solution. Before a need appears, He has already made provision.
Because of this, we must learn to speak as He would speak. We must allow His Word to shape our words. We must declare what He says rather than what circumstances suggest. Our conversations should reflect confidence in God's character and trust in His promises.

We are called to live lives of faith. According to Hebrews 11:1, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Faith gives substance to what has not yet manifested and provides evidence before the natural eye can see it. Therefore, we do not speak defeat when God has spoken victory. We do not speak lack when God has promised provision. We do not speak hopelessness when God has given us hope.

Let us remain faithful to God's Word in our speech, our conduct, and our daily living. Let us not be moved by pressure, opinions, or circumstances. Instead, let us be moved by the unchanging Word of God, knowing that the God who promised is faithful and able to perform all that He has spoken.

“Faith does not speak according to circumstances; it speaks according to the nature and character of God. When we align our words with His Word, we align our lives with His possibilities.”

Beware of Complaining

Complaining blinds us to what God is doing, while thanksgiving opens our eyes to His blessings.

The more thankful we become, the more we recognize His hand at work in our lives.

Prayer:
Lord, remove every spirit of complaining from my heart and fill me with gratitude and praise. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

“Gompieno dilo ka bontsi di chenchile, but the greatest news is that God has not changed and he’s not about to”—Bishop Onkeme Letshwiti

We serve a God who changes not. He is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. As our Bishop often says, “Our God is the unchanging changer.” In other words, He changes people, circumstances, situations, seasons, and destinies, but He Himself never changes. His character remains the same. His promises remain the same. His power remains the same. His faithfulness remains the same.

Indeed, a lot has changed today. The world is changing at a rapid pace. Economies are shifting, governments are changing, technologies are advancing, and many of the things people once depended on are proving to be uncertain. What was considered stable yesterday may not be stable today. Yet in the middle of all these changes, we have a firm foundation in God.
The Bible reminds us that even in the days of Joseph, nations experienced economic collapse and severe famine. People were uncertain about the future and many did not know where their next meal would come from. Yet God had already gone ahead and made provision for His people. The preservation of God's covenant people was not the work of human wisdom alone; it was the hand of God at work behind the scenes. What seemed impossible for man was possible with God.

The same God who preserved His people then is still preserving His people today. While the economies of the world may rise and fall, there is a higher economy that we live by—the economy of heaven. Our source has never been the systems of this world alone; our source has always been God. We thank God that our confidence is not in man, not in governments, not in financial markets, but in the Lord who never fails.

Today we can place our complete trust in God and confidently watch His hand move in our lives. We can trust His wisdom when we do not understand. We can trust His provision when resources seem limited. We can trust His promises when circumstances appear contrary. Because God does not change, His Word can still be trusted.
As we continue in this year and season of knowing God, being strong, and doing great exploits, and as we observe this month of thanksgiving and fasting, we choose to daily give thanks to our unchanging God. We thank Him because He remains faithful to His Word. We thank Him because He keeps His covenant. We thank Him because He is dependable in every season.
The God who was faithful yesterday is faithful today. The God who opened doors before can open them again. The God who made a way in the wilderness still makes a way today. Therefore, let us hold firmly to His promises, trust His timing, and remain thankful in all circumstances, knowing that while many things around us may change, our God remains forever the same.

“Gompieno dilo ka bontsi di chenchile, but the greatest news is that God has not changed and he’s not about to.”

Fasting Draws Us Closer to God

Fasting is not about earning God's favor. It is about drawing closer to Him.
When we set aside distractions and seek His face, our spiritual ears become more sensitive to His voice and direction.

Prayer:
Father, draw me closer to You. Let my heart seek You above all else and help me hear Your voice clearly. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Give Thanks Before the Miracle

Jesus gave thanks before the loaves multiplied and before Lazarus was raised. Thanksgiving is a declaration of trust in God's faithfulness.

Sometimes the greatest act of faith is thanking God before you see the answer.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to trust You enough to give thanks even before I see the breakthrough. I know You are faithful. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A Lifestyle of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is not something we do only when things go well. It is a lifestyle of recognizing God's goodness every day.
When we thank God for what He has already done, our faith grows for what He is about to do. A grateful heart sees blessings where others only see problems.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your goodness in my life. Help me to live each day with a grateful heart that honors You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

WELCOME TO JUNE – OUR MONTH OF THANKSGIVING AND FASTING

At It Is Well Church, we declare June 2026 as our Month of Thanksgiving and Fasting.

This month, God is calling us to live with grateful hearts and a deeper hunger for His presence. Thanksgiving reminds us of God's goodness, faithfulness, and provision, while fasting helps us draw closer to Him, hear His voice more clearly, and walk in greater spiritual strength.

We choose gratitude over complaining. We choose faith over fear. We choose prayer over worry. We choose God's presence over distractions.

As we thank God for what He has done in the past months of 2026 and seek Him for what lies ahead, we believe for breakthroughs, healing, restoration, divine direction, open doors, and fresh encounters with God.

Let us enter this month with praise on our lips, thanksgiving in our hearts, and a renewed commitment to seek the Lord.

"Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving." — Colossians 4:2

May June be a month of answered prayers, spiritual growth, and powerful testimonies.

It is well with us!
