Sermon: "Joy in the Trial"
James 1:2-4

Kingdom Greetings candidates of Heaven ! 🙏

Life gets heavy. Some of you are carrying things nobody sees a diagnosis, a broken relationship, a prayer that feels unanswered.

And James says: “Consider it pure joy when you face trials…”

That sounds backwards, right?

Here’s the heart of it:

1. God isn’t asking you to love the pain. He’s asking you to trust the process.
The trial isn’t the point. What God is building in you through it is.

2. Trials build perseverance.
That’s staying power, the kind that keeps you praying, loving, and trusting when it’s hard.

3. God’s goal is to make you whole.
He’s not just getting you through. He’s making you mature and complete, not lacking what He wants to form in you.

So today, shift your eyes from the problem to the Potter.
Ask Him: “God, what are You doing in me here?”
Take one small step of obedience.

You’re not alone in this. The God who walks with you is still writing your story. Romans 8:28 says He works all things for the good of those who love Him.

Don’t quit. Don’t give up. This trial is not the end.

Father, give us wisdom and strength today. Make us mature and complete for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.

BETRAYAL IS A DECISION, NOT AN ERROR

Main Text: Luke 22:3-6, 47-48

Core Message:
Betrayal is not a mistake or moment of weakness. It is a planned, intentional choice. Errors happen by accident. Decisions happen with knowledge. James 4:17

1. BETRAYAL IS PREMEDITATED
It starts in secret meetings, not sudden moments. Luke 22:4. Judas discussed it, agreed on a price, then acted. 2 Samuel 15:6 shows Absalom did the same. It’s calculated, not careless.

2. BETRAYAL WEAPONIZES CLOSENESS
It uses intimacy as the weapon. Luke 22:48. A kiss, a sign of love became the signal for arrest. Proverbs 27:6. Only people with access can wound that deep. Psalm 41:9.

3. JESUS NAMES IT TO HEAL IT
Jesus didn’t call it a mistake. He called it betrayal. John 13:27, Luke 22:48. We stay broken when we mislabel what hurt us. Psalm 55:12-14. Healing starts when we call it what God calls it.

4. FORGIVE THE PERSON, GUARD THE ACCESS
We must forgive to be free. Mark 11:25, Luke 23:34. But forgiveness is not automatic restoration. Restoration requires repentance and fruit. Matthew 3:8. Guard your heart. Proverbs 4:23.

5. GOD USES BETRAYAL FOR PROMOTION
What they meant for evil, God uses for good. Genesis 50:20. Judas’ kiss led to the cross, and the cross led to the crown. Philippians 2:8-9. God prepares your table in front of your enemies. Psalm 23:5.

TWOCALLS:
To the betrayed: It was not your fault. Psalm 34:18. Release them. Your promotion is coming. Isaiah 61:7.
To the betrayer: Stop before the silver is in your hand. Hebrews 10:26-27. Repent now. 1 John 1:9.

DECLARATION:
Betrayal was their decision. Promotion is God’s decision. Romans 8:28. Your pain is becoming your platform.

FEAR IS A CONFIRMATION

They don’t help you not because they lack resources, but because they fear what you might become.

Let that sink in.

Joseph’s brothers had food, but they threw him in a pit. Why? Not because they were hungry. Because they saw his coat and his dreams. Potential terrifies insecure people.

Saul had a whole army, but he chased David through caves. Why? Not because David stole anything. Because Saul knew the oil was on David’s head. Anointing attracts opposition.

John 15:18, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.”, Jesus is telling you: rejection is not evidence you’re wrong. It’s evidence you’re marked.

So stop begging for help from people who are intimidated by your future. They can’t support what they don’t understand. They can’t celebrate what they secretly compete with.

Your assignment isn’t to convince them. It’s to outgrow their opinion.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
They move in fear. You move in power.

Philippians 1:6, He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”
Heaven funds what it authors. If God started it, lack of human help can’t stop it.

So here’s your word: Their fear is prophecy. Become anyway. Become loudly. Become until the same people who ignored you have to acknowledge what God did.

Type I WILL Become, if you receive this.

The Blinding Nature of Ingratitude"

Luke 17:11-19 (The Ten Lepers)

We've all been there - times when we're so focused on what we don't have that we forget to appreciate what's already good in our lives. The ten l***rs, marginalized and desperate, cried out to Jesus for mercy. And what did He do? He healed them. But only one came back to say thanks.

Imagine being that one guy, the Samaritan, who didn't let cultural differences or pride stop him from showing gratitude. He recognized that his healing wasn't just a coincidence; it was a gift from God.

Ingratitude is like a disease - it blinds us to God's goodness, makes us take things for granted, and distances us from the very blessings we crave. When we're ungrateful, we're essentially saying, "I deserve better than what I got." But gratitude says, "I'm thankful for what I've received."

Let's be like the one l***r who said thanks. Let's acknowledge God's hand in our lives, in the big and small things. A thankful heart isn't just polite; it's a game-changer. It opens doors to more blessings, deeper relationships, and a fuller experience of God's love.

Hallelujah.

Living with Purpose: Beyond Mere Existence.

Today, let's reflect on a profound truth: 'The greatest tragedy is not death but life without purpose'. These words echo the wisdom of Scripture, where Jesus asks, 'What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?' (Mark 8:36).

We were created for more than mere existence. God breathed life into us, imbuing us with purpose and potential. Yet, it's easy to get lost in the noise, chasing fleeting dreams, and forgetting our true north.

In Jeremiah 29:11, we're reminded, 'For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' God's plans are rooted in love, purpose, and redemption.

Living without purpose is a slow drift from God's intention. But when we align with His plans, every moment becomes meaningful. Our struggles, relationships, and gifts become threads in His masterpiece.

Let's seek our purpose in Him, and find the fullness of life. 'For in Him we live and move and have our being' (Acts 17:28). Amen 😊."

The Hope of Resurrection: Living Beyond Life's Challenges

Texts: John 3:16, Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

As we stand here today, let's immerse ourselves in the profound truth of God's Word. The reason we can face every challenge, every trial, and every uncertainty is because of the hope we have in Christ's resurrection.

God's Initiative in Reconciliation
He came to reconcile us to Himself. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 tells us that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. Why? Because love drove Him to save humanity (John 3:16). Think about that – love is the driving force behind God's action. He didn't wait for us to come to Him; He came to us.

The Extent of Christ's Atonement
He died for our sins, bearing the penalty so we wouldn't have to (Romans 5:8). We were justified by His blood, saved by His life (Romans 5:9-10). The cross wasn't just an event; it was the pivotal moment in history where our fate was sealed – we are forgiven, we are loved, and we are redeemed.

The Triumph of Resurrection
But He didn't stay in the grave. He rose, defeating death and giving us new life (1 Corinthians 15:55-57). He's the firstfruits of our resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:20-22), guaranteeing our own victory over the grave.

So what does this mean for us?

- Hope in Adversity: Christ's resurrection guarantees hope in suffering (Romans 8:28).
- Reconciliation: We're brought near to God through Christ's work (Ephesians 2:13).
- New Creation: Old things pass away; all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Hope in Every Situation:
- Sickness and disease? Healing is in His wings (Psalm 103:2-3).
- Heartbreak and rejection? Restoration and comfort are yours (Psalm 147:3).
- Death itself? The last enemy is defeated (1 Corinthians 15:26).

Prayer: Lord, deepen our faith in Your redemptive work. Help us live in the light of Your resurrection. Amen 🙏.

Waiting in Hope Matthew 27:59-60
"Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb..."

Message:
Today, we sit in silence, reflecting on Jesus' sacrifice. He's in the tomb, and it feels like darkness lingers. But we wait in hope, knowing tomorrow brings resurrection and new life. Let's hold onto the promise that follows this moment of stillness.

Prayer: Lord, in this quiet, help us trust Your plan and wait in hope. Amen.

Loving without limits

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Today, we gather at the foot of the cross, where the weight of our sins met the love of our Savior 🌞. Jesus didn't just die for us; He lived for us, and in that, we find our purpose. As Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

The cross reveals a God who doesn't measure love; He gives it freely. No conditions, no fine print. So here's the deal: if we're gonna follow Him, we gotta love like Him. That means loving the unlovable, forgiving the unforgiving, and giving to those who can't repay.

Let's get practical. Who in your life needs grace today? Show it. Who needs kindness? Give it. As John 13:34 says, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

He died so we could live; let's live like it 🙏.

Prayer: Lord, help us love like You loved. Amen.

I think it's time we get uncomfortable 🤔. Who's that person you've been avoiding or struggling to love? Maybe it's time to send that text, make that call, or buy that gift. Let's take the first step this week.

What's holding you back? 😊

The Anointing and Stewardship: A Call to Responsible Ministry

Dear brethren,

The anointing is a sacred trust, a divine empowerment to serve and minister to others. However, when leaders rely solely on church funds, it can lead to a distortion of the anointing's true purpose.

Pastors and leaders must be diligent in supporting their ministry, rather than relying on church resources. This approach helps maintain the integrity of their calling and prevents the anointing from being commercialized.

When leaders prioritize financial gain over spiritual growth, the church can become a marketplace, where anointed moments are sold, and healing, deliverance, prayer, and prophecy are commodified. This undermines the very essence of ministry.

Founders and leaders should be wise stewards, entrepreneurs who manage resources effectively, rather than relying on others for support. This approach fosters a culture of responsibility and ensures the anointing is used for its intended purpose: to serve and glorify God.

Let's strive for a balanced approach, where leaders are empowered to minister, and the anointing is revered, not commercialized.

Identity Disclaimer

🌟 My dear brothers and sisters, gather 'round! 😊 Today, we're diving into a truth that sets us free 🚀. You see, sin isn't just a mistake; it's a doorway 🚪 to darkness. When we choose sin, we're essentially handing over the keys 🔑 to our lives, giving demons legal authority to enter and afflict us.

Let's look at King David 📚. He indulged in adultery with Bathsheba, and the consequences were severe 🔪. Demons had a foothold, and his life was ravaged 🌀 (2 Samuel 11-12). David's story shows us that sin can lead to spiritual turmoil 🌪️.

But it's not just biblical 📖. Think of a person who's into occult practices 🔮, dabbling in things they don't understand 🤔. They're opening doors, inviting darkness in 🌑. Before they know it, they're trapped in a cycle of fear and bo***ge 😨.

The Bible warns us, "Do not give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4:27, NIV) 🌈. When we sin, we're disclaiming our identity in Christ 🙌, our birthright, our inheritance 💰. We're saying, "I'm not yours, I'm mine" 🤷‍♂️. But Jesus came to give us life 🌟, abundant life, full of purpose 💪.

Let's choose wisely 😊. Let's choose life, let's choose Christ 🙏! Who's with me? 😊"
