Botswana Council of Churches, through the support of the Ministry of Health, Botswana, is implementing the To***co Control Project dubbed YOU CAN DO THIS CAMPAIGN. Today we had meaningful deliberations with our stakeholders at Letlhakane to shape the Campaign's Community Action Plan. The Action Plan is meant to highlight the specific community targets for control of to***co use to guide all response initiatives.
We will be conducting similar engagements at Mmathethe, Hukuntsi, Gantsi, and Etsha 6.

Today the BCC youth had the pleasure to spend the day with Mr Brian Muyunga, Youth Executive Secretary from the AACC - CETA Youth, celebrating International Youth Day. In his deliberations, he discussed the linkages between SDGs and digitalization. He further highlighted the importance of using technology to amplify the youth's voices in advocacy.

Botswana Council of Churches will host the Youth Alternative Mining Indaba(YAMI) alongside policymakers, campaigners, and civil society organizations.
The objective of the YAMI will be to strengthen the capacity of social justice activists to effectively engage and advocate for social economic justice policies aimed at inclusive, just, and sustainable development.

BCC joins the Government of Botswana through the Ministry of Health in celebrating the Integrity Award. According to Dr. Christopher Nyanga, the award is in recognition of a "huge milestone in to***co control" demonstratable in "...efforts to safeguard public health."
