From the heart of Our Lady of the Desert Cathedral, a prayer rises:

Lord, bless Your servant, Monsignor Lawrence Ofentse Pheto. Fill him with the grace of the Holy Spirit as he prepares to receive the fullness of the priesthood through Episcopal Ordination.

May his ministry bring hope to the weary, strength to the faithful, and the light of Christ to all.

SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY AND FEAST DAY OF OUR PARISH

Yesterday , on the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity, our parish family gathered in faith and thanksgiving to celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Desert Cathedral.

The combined Holy Mass brought together parishioners, sodalities, movements, and various church groups in a beautiful expression of unity as we worshipped the One God in Three Divine Persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The celebration reminded us of our call to live in love, communion, and service, following the perfect example of the Holy Trinity.

In his homily Fr Anthony Mosalagae stressed that we honored Our Lady of the Desert, we entrusted our parish, families, and community to her loving maternal care, asking for her continued intercession and guidance as we journey in faith.

Following the Holy Mass, the celebrations continued with a joyful Bring and Share session, where parishioners came together to share meals, fellowship, and strengthen the bonds of Christian friendship. The gathering reflected the spirit of unity, generosity, and community that characterizes our parish family.

PENTECOST SUNDAY

Pentecost Sunday was truly a blessed and spirit-filled celebration in our parish community. As we commemorated the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, we also witnessed two beautiful milestones in the life of the Church.
With great joy, we welcomed 8 children into the family of Christ through the Sacrament of Baptism, praying that they may grow in faith, wisdom, and love under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Their baptism marks the beginning of a lifelong journey with God, surrounded by the support and prayers of the Christian community.
We were also honored to witness the enrobing of one devoted member into the Catholic Women’s Association (CWA), a special moment of commitment, service, and dedication to God and the Church. May the Lord continue to strengthen and guide her as she embraces this sacred responsibility.
It was a day filled with grace, joy, unity, and thanksgiving — a reminder that the Holy Spirit continues to renew and strengthen His people.
Happy Pentecost Sunday! 🔥🙏⛪❤️
