Message from the Pastor
Dear Brother and Sisters in Christ,
Today is Anniversary Day. We are actually celebrating One Hundred and Seventy-seven (177) of Christian Witness. One Hundred and Seventy-seven (177) years is a very long time, we are thankful for those who have paved the way and have gone on to their reward. We have a responsibility to keep their dreams and aspirations alive and continue the building process.
Let us focus on where we were, where we are, and where we can go in the strength and guidance of the Lord. As we focus on where we are going, let us aim to make this Church the Spirit filled and Caring Church we are mandated to be. Let us ensure endeavor to build each other up and feel each other’s care. Let us always remember that we are the body of Christ, which is a great privilege to be representatives of Christ in the world.
Let us be instruments of God to strengthen our faith and communicate our faith to our entire membership. Let us open ourselves to God’s Spirit, the Spirit will show us how to recognize the gifts each of us have received by being united to Christ, and how those gifts can best be used for the building up of Christ’s body, the Church. Let our aim be to appreciate the new thing that God is doing in Christ, which includes all of us. God is calling all of us to be instruments for good and a part of the new thing.
Yours in His Service
Rev. Cecil A. Newbold
