We have now concluded our May celebrations where we give thanks for Mary - the vessel through which Jesus came into the world. The Magnificat, found in Luke 1:46–55, is Mary’s beautiful song of praise to God after she learns that she will bear the Savior of the world. Filled with joy and humility, she proclaims, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.”

Mary’s song reminds us that God is faithful to His promises. He lifts up the humble, strengthens the weak, and shows mercy to those who trust in Him. In a world often focused on power and status, the Magnificat points us to God’s kingdom, where love, justice, and mercy prevail.

As we reflect on Mary’s words, may we learn from her example of faith and obedience. She trusted God’s plan even when she did not fully understand it. Her willingness to say “yes” to God changed the course of history and brought hope to all humanity.

May the Magnificat inspire us to live lives of gratitude, to recognize God’s blessings in our daily lives, and to proclaim His goodness through our words and actions. Like Mary, may our souls magnify the Lord and may our lives bear witness to His love and faithfulness.

May God bless you and keep you in His peace.

One of the most beloved hymns of the Church, taken from our CPWI number 246 All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name, calls us to lift our hearts in worship and proclaim the lordship of Jesus Christ. Its powerful words remind us that Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords, worthy of all honor, glory, and praise.

As we sing, “Crown Him Lord of all,” we join with believers throughout the world and across the generations in declaring our faith in the risen Christ. The hymn points us toward that glorious day when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

May this hymn inspire us to worship with joy, serve with humility, and live each day under the loving reign of our Savior. Let our voices and our lives proclaim: All hail the power of Jesus’ name!

Our Censing hymn taken from the CPWI number 241 Thou whose almighty word is a powerful hymn written by the hymn writer and Anglican priest John Marriott. The hymn is a prayer for God’s light to shine throughout the world and is especially associated with missions and evangelism. Its recurring refrain, “Let there be light,” echoes Genesis 1:3 and invokes the work of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in bringing spiritual light to humanity.

The lyrics are as follows:-

1 Thou, whose almighty word
chaos and darkness heard,
and took their flight;
hear us, we humbly pray,
and where the gospel-day
sheds not its glorious ray,
let there be light.

2 Thou, who didst come to bring
on thy redeeming wing
healing and sight,
health to the sick in mind,
sight to the inly blind,
O now to all mankind
let there be light.

3 Spirit of truth and love,
life-giving, holy Dove,
speed forth thy flight;
move on the water’s face,
bearing the lamp of grace,
and in earth’s darkest place
let there be light.

4 Holy and blessèd Three,
glorious Trinity,
Wisdom, Love, Might;
boundless as ocean’s tide
rolling in fullest pride,
through the earth far and wide
let there be light.

Did you know that the word Trinity is not found in the Bible? But the Bible does speak about God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit - but there is only ONE God - but TRI means 3 and unity reflects 1 - therefore one but three persons. But there is no way we can adequately explain or fully understand it all. But listen as Archdeacon Cartwright shares about The Trinity

On this Trinity Sunday the first Sunday after Pentecost Our processional hymn today is taken from our CPWI hymnal number 363. The hymn “Angel Voices, Ever Singing” was written by Francis Pott in 1861.

Our Introit hymn number 210 is The hymn “Father of Heaven, Whose Love Profound” which was written by Edward Cooper in 1805. It is a Trinitarian hymn based on themes from the Litany of the Church. This hymn is especially associated with Trinity Sunday, Lent, and services emphasizing God’s mercy, redemption, and the Holy Trinity.
