Lively Stone Church of God The Lively Stone Church of God was established in 1998 under the leadership of Bishop Godfrey K. Hepburn in a little Hall on Jenny Street in The Bahamas

Hepburn in a little Hall on Jenny Street of Robinson Road, New Providence, The Bahamas. The Commissioning Service was held May 24th 1998; some of the pioneers were Deacons Bertram Archer, Arthur Dorsett, Quintin Brown, Emmanuel Forbes, Timothy Martin, Seldon Adderley, Bishop George Barr Jr., and Sisters Hazel McDonald and Angela Pratt-Rolle. The Church fellowshipped under the Ecclesiastical banner

of the then Church of God in the Bahamas Inc., now known as The Highway Church of God Bahamas. While renting the hall facility on Jenny Street, Lively Stone functioned exactly like it should have. Revivals were held, Fellowship and Prayer Services, weddings celebrated and funerals conducted. God had given the church a mandate and as a result the church gave praise and did the work of the Lord in whatever setting it was afforded. On January 14th 2001 the faithful membership accompanied by the Crusaders Brass Band marched along the then Harold Road to the Knowles Drive site, where ground was broken and Praise was offered up to God in anticipation of Lively Stone’s official church home. It is on that same site that Lively Stone would worship under a tent donated by the Lively Stone Church of God of St. Louis Missouri. Threats of hurricane and inclement weather would often batter, but the tabernacle remained in place. Life is never without its challenges. We had our share of disappointments, they made us more determined, we weathered discouragements, which made us wiser. We endured trials, which made us stronger. On Sunday February 8th 2009 the family of the Lively Stone Church dedicated its current edifice to the Lord. Debt free. In 2012 the Lord in his keen understanding saw fit to take Bishop Godfrey K. Hepburn home to Glory. After an illustrious term on earth as a family man, hard worker, committed pastor and most importantly as a professing child of God. Pastor Angela R. Pratt-Rolle was chosen as the successor to the late Bishop and brings years of experience as an educator by profession, public servant and a thorough preacher teacher background. This is not a perfect church by any means…however it is a progressive church. Doing what we can in our community and one with another, to better ourselves and walk closer with God each day.
