I am free!

This sermon may not be for you, but for the real Christian.

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do, this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Romans 7:15-25.

We know that the laws of God is spiritual, but we live in an unspiritual body. It is as if we were sold as slaves to sin. Romans 7:14.

Paul was not speaking to the church goers who had it all together, he was preaching to the real believers who had struggles in their lives as Christians. He himself had a struggle (a thorn in his flesh).

Let's keep it real!

Although we strive for 100% perfection, we are not there yet. Yet we keep running knowing that 99.5% won't do.

Jesus said, "I am not come for the righteous but to call the sinners unto repentance."

Look how they hated Jesus for fellowshiping with the sinners. They did not think it was fitting for holy Jesus to sit with dishonest tax collectors and wh***ng prostitutes.

Yet that was where Jesus' ministry was. He asked, "WHO IS IN NEED OF A DOCTOR, THE SICK OR THE HEALED?"

This message is not for those who already are at 100% in righteousness but for those still striving to get there.

You may end up doing the things you know is wrong but keep pushing.

You may be knocked down, but not knocked out, just get up and keep fighting.

You may be going through, don't give up, help is on the way.

Remember...
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:1-2.

You are now free, free in need.

I am free! Praise the Lord, I am free!

Lord I am not worthy.

It is true when we say this, for we have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Come to think of it everyone who God used throughout history had a shortcoming or a fault. Not one was perfect except Enoch who was translated.

God used murdering David, cursing Peter, jerring Paul, doubting Thomas, disobedient Jonah, wh***ng Rehab, idolatress Ruth, possessed Mary, lying Abraham, weak Adam. The Lord has use for you too.

I may not be worthy but God's grace and mercy covers me and are renewed unto me every day.

Christ's blood has washed my sins away.
Now I have the victory.

No I am not worthy, but Jesus is. Call on Him to forgive and restore you.

"Jesus, please forgive me and come into my life. I know that I am not worthy, but use me in your service is my prayer, amen."

Now you are ready for service.

"Arise, kill and eat."

One night Peter fell asleep and he had a dream. In the dream he saw a sheet with snakes, pigs, shellfish, and other animals. He heard the voice of God telling him, "Arise, kill and eat."

Peter refused to eat based on what was taught to him by the law given to the Jews.

Peter said to God, "I can't eat these uncommon and uncleaned things."

The Lord said to him, "Don't you call anything that I have made uncommon or unclean."

How is it that we believers are so judgmental of others?

How is it we dislike what is different from ourselves?

How is it we refuse to associate with others who do not come to our church or are not apart of our denomination?

Did not God make all mankind? How is it a servant can judge another servant? Are we not all God's servants?

If God loves the sinner, why do you hate him?

I tell you the truth, do not judge. The judgment you pass on others will soon be passed on you, and without mercy.

Peter repented because he was taught to think that he being a Jew was better than the gentiles.

God showed him that all mankind is worthy of Redemption.

Come down from your lofty places and humble yourself before God humbles you.

Are you not just traveling dust?

All have sinned! Even you. Or have you forgotten where God has brought you from?

Do you remember?

I remember where he brought me from and I am still not perfect. I pray, Lord forgive me of my sins and blot out my transgressions and my iniquities.

You can pray the same prayer and God will forgive you.

Today I had a chance to speak with a coworker. The coworker told me that every time they fixed up an office space someone covet their office and request to have it. The coworker said this happened to them three times already and now they are tired of moving.

I remember in my own career I found a space unused and not kept. I inquired about the space and was granted permission to occupy it. I took time to clean and repair the room. I vanished, polished, painted, and decorated the room. It was a small but comfortable place to be. I was proud of my hard work.

As soon as the other coworkers saw what potential the room had they too inquired about it, wanted to occupy it.

At first I got angry because I spent my money and time fixing it up. Then I remembered it was not my home.

I quietly removed from the room without having to be asked. I witness how the others fought each other for the room.

I tell you the truth, a man living on the streets in rags is not desired by much but when he is fixed up and groomed, he is admired by so many.

Likewise a sinner is not desired by evil forces as much as the one who gives up his sins and start to live right. Then all hell seems to be after him.

I tell you the truth, people do not like hard work but when the work is completed they come to celebrate in other's success, even to the point of becoming master of ceremony.

Some people will walk away from you when you are down. They will avoid you as if you had a plage. They wait to see you destroyed. They distance themselves from you so they would not be labeled as knowing you. They are playing it safe. They wait each day to see you come to your end, then they rejoice. They join the posts on social media celebrating your fall.

I have seen it done, time and time again. I have seen the love of many waxed cold. But God has remained faithful to even the fallen soul. No one knows when God and sinner reconciles. He promised never to leave us alone.

I now know how it feels to be forsaken and abandoned by people who said they loved me. I also know this is the best time to trust in the Lord. I no longer want to kill myself dwelling on the hurt others have caused me. No! But rather, I am stronger. I am better and not bitter.

I reuse to hate like others but rather I will show more love every day. I am committed to the promise, "Though none go with me, yet still I will follow God." It's OK. I will make it by God's grace.

I encourage you today cheer up and trust in God. He will see you through.

God is at work!

What would you do when the one you love stops loving you?

A certain man lived a holy life. He met a loose woman and feel in love with her. He married her and started a family together. His first child he loved dearly but he noticed that the other children did not resemble him yet he loved them too.

Soon his wife's love towards him grew cold. She started staying out late and later and eventually never came home.

Years went by that he did not see or hear from her. One day he heard someone said that they saw his wife on the corner of a certain city. He went looking for her.

His wife had returned to the streets, the life she lived before he met her. Her beauty had began to fade and her body run down and tired. She was much older now. This man almost did not recognized her.

He begged and pleaded with her, "Please forgive me, I am sorry. Please come home. I love you."

He invited her home but her pimp said, "No way, she is working for me. If you want her you have to pay for her time."

This man had to pay for her and for each hour she was home with him, his own wife.

He loved her so much he paid for her but she still loved the streets.

He continued to love her even though she no longer showed any affection to him.

He questioned God. "God how is it I love this woman so much but she does not love me in return? Even these children I raised and put through school may not be mine, but I love them too. What should I do?"

The Lord said to him, "My son, now you know how I feel. I love my bride so much but she don't love me in return. Her love is for someone else. But yet I remain married to her. I sacrifice my only son for her and yet she treat me with contempt."

I tell you today, stay faithful and committed to love. It may seem hard to love a partner, a spouse or a friend who don't seem to love you in return. Their love has waxed cold.

As for you, keep loving them. Keep checking on them. Keep praying for them. Keep caring for them. Keep believing in the power of love. They may never pick up the phone to call you. They may never stop by to visit you. They may not want to celebrate with you. They may never speak to you again or want to hear from or even see you. That's OK!

Love covers a multitude of sins.

Remember what the word of God says, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. But whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is love." 1 John 4:7-8.

So you continue to love and when you die you will see God. The thing is, by loving them you free yourself. You make yourself ready for life everlasting.

It is not the same for those who do not love one another. "God knows the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly shall perish."

Follow peace with all mankind and learn how to love like Hosea, unconditionally.

God is at work.

Tonight God moved in the midst of His people. He gave an instruction and the people were obedient to His word. Already reports are coming in of His quick work.

Only believe, all things are possible.

Stop thinking negative thoughts. Stop worrying. God is at work.

Start trusting and believing. Join in with the saints and worship the Lord together. You cannot do it by yourself. You need others to help.

Just look how the people opened thier mouths to minister over themselves. Now look how they are sharing their testimonies.God is at work.

I too have to praise Him for my victory report. God is not through with me yet.
