Food is a necessity, it should never be considered a luxury. It is a basic human right no matter what state we find ourselves in. We all need someone to care enough to offer us a plate of food. 2020, has been a tough year, show some love this season.

Thank you to and to the volunteers that showed up today. This happened because of your service.

🚨🚨🚨🚨 Every year we urge people to prepare for hurricane season in The Bahamas. Last year, Hurricane Dorian wounded the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama taking time lives, destroying homes and livelihoods. We are no match against climate change but we can do our best to become informed and prepare as best as we can to withstand it’s changes. As we currently face the trials of Covid 19, we understand that the affects of this pandemic has further created tension for families due to job loss. As an organization that aims to provide empowerment and relief to impoverished communities, we want to help as much families as we can to prepare this hurricane season by providing an emergency kit in an event of a weather emergency. To help us assist these families with an emergency kit, click the link https://www.paypal.me/pmmd to donate$10.

From the desk of our President.

What started off as a post to bring awareness to the realities of many comes during this pandemic, ended up being the vehicle that touched many struggling families during this time. Your generosity did this. And many of you locally and internationally have taken it to different levels donating stimulus checks to assist families. The messages we've read and heard have truly inspired us to be intentional about being kind. We're not finished yet! There are people still hurting.
Thank you! Your big hearts did this.❣️

Five ways you can help someone during this time:

1. Pray for them. (Strength, Hope, Clarity, Mental Health, Provision, Comfort)
2. Call and ask how they're doing during this time.
3. Purchase grocery items, send a gift card or funds to them to use during this time.
4. Donate or collaborate with reputable charitable organizations to further their efforts.
5.Bring awareness to the needs in homes and communities.

Someone needs your voice to speak for them. They need your prayer. They need your generosity. Children are at home during this lockdown with their abusers. Families are without food. Single moms have lost their jobs. We are in a time where the masses are hurting, you can do something. Don't be silent.

From our Founder Katherine Coakley

My heart is so full of love of gratitude right now. We may be in a hard place but we are not out of love.

Thank you to everyone that donated to this cause tonight. I wanted to bring awareness to the harsh realities some families are facing due to unemployment and business closures. I had no idea that I would receive such a flood of persons willing to help provide grocery items for person's in need.

Thank you so much. My mind is blown that I have to turn away funds because we have reached our capacity.

You may have not been able to give to this cause but you can still give. Please don't let this limit deter you from helping someone. I challenge you to find someone this week and bless them with food goods or funds that can benefit them. As we navigate this pandemic, please adhere to our Government instructions and practice all the safety measures instructed with public engagement. We are in a time where we need each other. Let's show up.❣️

Repost from our founder Katherine Coakley.

Will you join us in shopping for 1-5 single unemployed moms this week? We will be shopping to provide 5 homes with a grocery bag.
I am encouraging you to be mindful of unemployed moms that have been layed off due to Covid-19.
In keeping with the health professional instructions, please be mindful of your approach to distribution. The government has been very clear about time management during this time on light of the Corona virus threat.

I recommend that you call ahead should you know someone personally affected and drop the grocery bag/s on their porch. Please remember to practice all sanitation instructions as ordered when going into the general public.
If you don't plan to shop this week but you would like to donate, let me know. I'm shopping tomorrow only. Email us, we would love to help you help others.

Let's show up for one another.
