He's Looking for You!

" For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." (2 Chron. 16:9)

God is looking for you. That's right. If you'll read the Bible, you'll see that ever since the world began He's been looking for people who by faith and obedience would allow Him to bless them right here on the earth. He's been looking for people who would allow Him to demonstrate His power on their behalf - people whose supernaturally abundant lives would make them a walking advertisement of the mercy and power of God.

For example, look at the children of Israel in the Old Testament. God wanted them to be this kind of people. He prepared a marvelous land for them to enjoy. It was a land flowing with milk and honey (Ex. 3:8). It was a land of rest and abundance where no enemy could stand before them and no sickness or disease could stay on their bodies (Ex. 23:25).

In fact, as soon as they came out of slavery in Egypt, God wanted them to go to that land. It was a short journey. But they wouldn't go! Instead, they spent 40 years wandering around in the wilderness, getting nowhere.

All this happened thousands of years ago, but do you know what? God hasn't changed at all since then. He still wants to lead His people into a place of blessing and prosperity. The problem is that in many ways His people haven't changed that much either. The same thing that kept the children of Israel out of the Promised Land is keeping most believers out of their personal promised land today. The problem is unbelief.

"But Gloria, that can't apply to me. I believe in God." Israel believed in God too. But when the scouts sent into the Promised Land came back and reported there were giants there, the children of Israel became scared.

If they had believed God, it wouldn't have mattered how big those giants were, they could have marched right in there expecting God to make those giants scatter in every direction. But they didn't believe God!

So often we try to be smart and figure things out instead of just trusting God and doing what He says. And as a result, we end up in disobedience-which always leads to unbelief. But God doesn't ask us to be smart. All He asks us to do is to listen to His Word and obey His voice. Why? Because He knows that if we don't, we'll end up living out our lives on this earth in a wilderness of defeat like that generation of Israelites did.

God is looking for you. Don't let the giants in your life scare you into hiding. Don't let them defeat you. Stand up and let God see you. Let Him know you'll be faithful and obedient. Let Him know you'll trust Him and His Word no matter what the circumstances say or look like. Then worship Him knowing you'll see Him demonstrate His power and faithfulness on your behalf!

Speak the Word: I keep my heart perfect toward God so that He shows Himself strong on my behalf. (2 Chron. 16:9)

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" (Isa. 53:5).

In the past, many in the body of Christ have tried to split the Atonement down the middle. Then they've tried to separate the two halves. They say, "Thank God, salvation is for anyone, anytime. Second Peter 3:9 says, 'The Lord is... not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.' So whoever wants to be saved may freely come!"

"However," they continue, "healing is not for today." Or they say, "God can heal, but He normally doesn't do things like that. He heals some, but He doesn't heal everyone." Or perhaps they rationalize, "God has replaced healing with doctors and hospitals."

But no one has a right to split the Atonement down the middle. Jesus paid the price for us—spirit, soul and body.

One half of the Atonement is the forgiveness of sin; the other half of the Atonement is healing for the physical body. Jesus Christ not only paid the price for our sins and iniquities, but at the same time He paid the price for our sicknesses and diseases.

When the body of Christ grabs hold of that revelation, the sick will be healed, the weak will be made strong and the healthy will stay well!

Do not pray the problem, pray the solution. Pray what the Word of God says about your circumstances and what God promises that He will do on your behalf. Back your prayers with faith (trust in Christ). Faith moves God’s heart and hand to act on your behalf. Believe that you receive. Make these things your faith confession.

Faith must be unwavering. Reject doubt. It doesn’t take any more effort to believe than not to believe. It takes the same amount of effort. It is a choice. Faith is a decision. You choose to believe and stand on your choice.

For years, atheists and scientists have tried to convince people to believe the theory of evolution. But that is all it is, just a theory. Some people have even said that evolution is a religion all in itself. However, there is no evidence whatsoever to prove that mankind evolved from a monkey.

The idea of evolution is just downright silly when you stop and think about it. In Genesis 1:11, God commanded the grass, the herb and the fruit trees to bring forth seed and fruit according to its kind. In Genesis 1:21, God created the birds and the fish according to their kind. And in Genesis 1:24, God brought forth the beasts of the earth according to their kind. That's the way it happened way back then, and that is still the way it happens today.

God created life to reproduce itself, according to its own kind. That's why you don't get cotton when you plant corn. That's why fish have baby fish, and monkeys have baby monkeys. You will never see a cow giving birth to a horse, or animal giving birth to a human. God knew what He was doing when He created the earth, and He still knows what He's doing today!

God created this universe for a specific purpose. He created this world for Jesus. (Col. 1:16) Jesus is the reason for creation! God longed for sons and daughters to walk with, because of His "father" nature. But before He could create man, He had to create a place for us to live.

Isaiah 45:18 says that God formed the earth to be inhabited. God stored up vast resources of minerals and chemicals. He created all the fruits and vegetables and food sources we would ever need. He also built the beautiful landscapes that we see just for us to look at and enjoy.

Did you know that mankind is the only being throughout all of creation that can experience awe? God put that in us so that we could look at the countryside, or a beautiful lake, or even a flower—and be affected by it. God created this world to bless us!

Some people like to think that the earth is just an evolutionary accident that is floating around in space like some speck of dust, but that's not true. In Genesis 1:14-19 the Word of God says that the earth is the reason for the universe. The other stars and planets were created for signs and for seasons, for days and for years, and to be lights in the firmament and to give light on this earth!

So you see, the Word of God tells us that Jesus is the reason for creation and man is the reason for the earth, and the earth is the reason for the universe.

Some people today believe that mankind is the center of the universe. This is actually a very clever distortion of the truth by Satan.

Although man is the reason for the earth, and the earth is the reason for the universe, we must never forget that the reason for man is God! The purpose for our very existence is to have a relationship with God Almighty, through Jesus Christ.
