Ebenezer celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday, June 21, 2026 by honouring the many professions fathers find themselves in. Each window in the sanctuary was meticulously decorated by our superb decorating committee with elements related to each profession - Teachers, Lawyers, Firemen, Fishermen and many more. Rev. Turnquest delivered a powerful sermon that tied everything together with our earthly fathers and our Heavenly Father. Come and visit us next Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

The first official fundraiser by the Fund Raising Committee was held in The Sir Durward Auditorium on the evening of June 19, 2026 - and it was packed with people! The traditional 'hamburger fry' was back with grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, french fries and a drink were enjoyed for dinner.

While waiting, games like connect Four and Checkers were set up on tables for people to enjoy. During dinner, Rev. Turnquest and his team, made up of young adults, hosted the lively and energetic games - stacking cups, sweeping balloons, threading beads, hoopla competitions, ping pong ball throws and more. Endless desserts, cakes, fudge and pastries were on sale along with ice cream.

It was truly an evening that everyone will remember. Special thanks goes out to all who supported and to the Fund-raising Committee for executing an enjoyable and memorable evening. EBENEZER MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT- The Ebenezer Soup Kitchen has been serving hundreds of meals each week from Epworth Hall since 1990. Started by Gwen Johnson and a assisted by team of Ebenezer ladies, this ministry continues today distributing bowls of soup to those in need within our community. This effort is led by our representatives to the Board of Outreach - Karen Johnson-McPhee, Sancha Newbold and Scharline Bucci. Every Thursday, 200 people including the residents of the Cancer Society of The Bahamas, receive a small brown bag lunch filled with home made soup, bread rolls, dessert and a bottle of water. Clothing parcels and food packets are also distributed to those in need through our pantry donations. Each week more and more people come to us looking for a hot meal. Your donations will continue to keep this much needed ministry going. On Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Regional Women's Group of the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church held a Health Seminar in The Sir Durward Knowles Auditorium at Epworth Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Around 50 ladies from churches throughout the region gathered to share in a Bahamian breakfast of chicken s***e and listen attentively to Dr. Ingrid Bonimy who spoke on a healthy diet.

Dr. Homer Bloomfield also shared his knowledge on chronic disease and how to avoid them.

​It was a very informative session that the ladies will long remember. Stay tuned for more events by the Regional Ladies Fellowship and the Ebenezer Ladies Fellowship.
