Successful Launch of Monday Health Talk at Ebenezer Methodist Church

Ebenezer Methodist Church was pleased to host the first session of its Monday Health Talk (MHT) series, featuring newly graduated nurse Travis Cartwright, who delivered an outstanding and informative presentation to an engaged audience.

He addressed a wide range of important health topics, including dietary needs, food and nutrition, healthy eating habits, regular exercise, blood sugar management, and blood pressure regulation. His practical approach and clear explanations encouraged participants to think more intentionally about making healthier lifestyle choices.

The session was highly interactive, with attendees asking numerous questions and actively participating in the discussions. The lively exchange reflected the community's growing interest in health education and wellness.

Ebenezer Methodist Church extends its sincere appreciation to Nurse Travis Cartwright for sharing his knowledge and expertise. We also thank everyone who attended and contributed to the success of this inaugural session.

We look forward with great anticipation to the next Monday Health Talk, as we continue promoting healthier lives and stronger communities through education, fellowship, and faith.

Ebenezer celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday, June 21, 2026 by honouring the many professions fathers find themselves in. Each window in the sanctuary was meticulously decorated by our superb decorating committee with elements related to each profession - Teachers, Lawyers, Firemen, Fishermen and many more. Rev. Turnquest delivered a powerful sermon that tied everything together with our earthly fathers and our Heavenly Father. Come and visit us next Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

The first official fundraiser by the Fund Raising Committee was held in The Sir Durward Auditorium on the evening of June 19, 2026 - and it was packed with people! The traditional 'hamburger fry' was back with grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, french fries and a drink were enjoyed for dinner.

While waiting, games like connect Four and Checkers were set up on tables for people to enjoy. During dinner, Rev. Turnquest and his team, made up of young adults, hosted the lively and energetic games - stacking cups, sweeping balloons, threading beads, hoopla competitions, ping pong ball throws and more. Endless desserts, cakes, fudge and pastries were on sale along with ice cream.

It was truly an evening that everyone will remember. Special thanks goes out to all who supported and to the Fund-raising Committee for executing an enjoyable and memorable evening.
