Deeply saddened today to hear more devastating news from Gaza. 7 World Central Kitchen volunteers were killed "accidentally" by Israeli air strikes. They were delivering food to desperate families. Their route was pre-cleared and their vehicles were clearly marked.

Though not pictured here, some of WCK staff that died served Jan and I, and the suffering people of The Bahamas in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. I am sharing some personal photos from 2019 that highlight the disaster and WCK’s response.

Please join me in prayer. Please pray for peace. Please pray for the families and friends of those who were tragically lost. Please support the great work of World Central Kitchen however you can.

We are sad to see the Swings leave Abaco but we know that God is going to do amazing things in their lives. Come see them off and thank them for their service at Kirk of the Pines. Aug 28th after church we will have a light lunch and a celebration for all that God has done through the Swings. We would love to see you there.

Dear Friends,

Jan and I wanted to share with you some news.

After months of prayer and wise counsel, Jan and I have decided that this is the right time for us to make the move back to the United States. We really sense that we are nearing the completion of the work that God has given us to do here in The Bahamas.

Trust me, this was not an easy decision for Jan and me. As you know, for Grace, Jan and I, this has been our home for almost 11 years. We have given our hearts, our sweat and our tears to the work that God is doing in this country. We will leave a big piece of ourselves here.

We are also confident that God will continue the great work that He is doing on Abaco. Barrett and Carrie Hendrickson will do a great job leading Kirk of the Pines and the youth ministry of The Bahamas Youth Network into the next season of ministry.

Over the next few weeks, Jan and I will be preparing to move back to Davidson, NC in mid-September.

There are many special friendships and wonderful things that Jan and I are going to miss from The Bahamas, but we are also anxious to be closer to our family. After some time of transition, I will start seeking God’s next calling in ministry. We are excited to discover the new opportunities to serve that God has for us.
