Purpose Film Project:
Produced by the Ride Nature Organization, the film “Purpose” was created in a collaborative effort with Walking on Water, Nations Foundation, Skate Bible, and This IZ My Story to bring the truth of Jesus Christ to the world through action sports outreach and evangelism. With the support of world-renowned author and speaker, Francis Chan, this film is one that was truly creat
ed to “Impact the world through action sports!” The film features 33 of some of the top action sports athletes from all around the globe and a collective combination of footage from some of the most talented filmers in the industry! As this film explodes with some of the most insane shots ever caught on camera, it also dives into the clear and simple message of Jesus Christ and his plan and PURPOSE for each of our lives. Through the message, scripture verses, testimonies, and one unifying connection between each of the athletes, the PURPOSE for why they ride, this film is one that will leave each individual watching asking themselves, “Am I living a life of TRUE PURPOSE?”
Vision for the Film:
Through the past 3 years of hosting countless international outreach events, mission trips, contests, and film premiers we have continued to witness the same need time and time again. This need is an evangelistic tool that can be used to reach the action sports community worldwide with the clear and simple message of Jesus Christ. While there are many amazing organizations that we work with who have created awesome Christian films, there are very few tools or resources available specifically with the intent of evangelism. And unfortunately of the films/tools that are available for this purpose, very few are available in languages other than English. While the “Jesus Film” has done an amazing job at using their video as a HUGE tool for evangelism, unfortunately it just doesn’t attract the younger audience of kids that in many areas of the world are left “unreached”. This group of kids specifically consists of the surf and skate community. The film “Purpose” was produced and created with the intent to be the solution for this problem. By creating a film that attracts the younger audience and a group of individuals that are very hard to reach, this film is a one of a kind resource for youth leaders and ministries worldwide…..not to mention that the film will be made 100% FREE to watch and download online and “giveaway DVD copies” will be made available for partner ministries to purchase at COST! But to stop here would really defeat our purpose of creating this film. Our true goal and long term vision for this project is to see this film translated into as many languages as possible (through actual voice overs, not only subtitles) and as a result making the film available worldwide for ministry leaders, missionaries, and individuals as an incredible tool for evangelism. As a part of a “13 in 2013” campaign we are currently working with churches and ministry partners worldwide with the hope and plan to make this film available in 12 new languages in 2013 alone!
