When we read the Bible,
we don’t just repeat it —
we live it.

God’s Word was written in a time and context,
but it is given for us to apply today.

“I will give thanks to You, Lord…” (Psalm 9)

So we thank Him —
for provision,
for family,
for life.

“I will tell of Your wonderful deeds.”

So we share —
what God has done in our lives.

This week, God protected my family.
He has been faithful.

“I will be glad and rejoice in You.”

So we live with gratitude —
seeing His beauty in everyday moments.

Faith is not just words.
It is a life lived with God.

So the question is:
what has God done in your life this week?

Two identical twins.
Separated at age 2.
Raised in different countries — one in South Korea, one in the U.S.

Reunited 45 years later.

What did they find?
Striking similarities… but also clear differences.

Same DNA —
but different environments, experiences, and choices shaped their lives.

And maybe that sounds familiar.

We are not only what we were born with,
and not only what we’ve lived through —
we are shaped by both.

But above all, we are shaped by what we believe.

Who God is.
What He has done.
Why He did it.

These truths should lead us to worship,
to pray,
to declare,
and to testify about Christ.

Because knowing Him —
and walking with Him —
changes everything.

We can come to God with any emotion.

Joyful.
Confused.
Angry.
Hopeful.

We don’t need to hide.

We are invited to open our hearts fully before Him.

As John Calvin wrote,
these Psalms are both praise and prayer —
a way of remembering how God has delivered us before,
so we can trust Him again today.

When we remember His faithfulness,
our confidence grows.

So come as you are.
Speak honestly.
And remember — God is still faithful.

What shapes your life?

Why do you do what you do?
Why your work, your relationships, your choices?

Our lives are the result of a process —
formed by what we’ve learned,
what we’ve seen,
and who we’ve followed.

Family, education, culture —
all leave their mark.

And sometimes… we realize
we’ve learned the wrong things.

But when we draw near to God,
He reveals truth.

What needs to change.
What needs to be healed.

And the good news is:
we don’t change alone.

With God’s help,
we are transformed.

He reshapes our thinking,
our hearts,
and our lives.

So the question is:
what are you allowing to shape you today?

Our future in Christ is “unspeakably happy and glorious.” (Jonathan Edwards)

The cup we take reminds us of the past —
of the wrath Jesus bore,
so we could receive forgiveness, reconciliation, and life.

But it also points to the future —
the wedding banquet of the Lamb,
where we will rejoice with Him forever.

And what about today?

Communion is not just past and future —
it is present.

Jesus is spiritually present with us,
just as He was with His disciples at the Last Supper.

Across the world —
in every nation, every church —
He meets His people at the table.

That is the mystery of the Gospel.

We remember.
We hope.
And we encounter Him… now.

“I have hidden Your Word in my heart
that I might not sin against You.” (Psalm 119:11)

The Law is perfect — but it reveals our imperfect hearts.

Through Christ, everything changes.

The New Covenant of grace writes God’s law not on stone,
but on our hearts —
by the Holy Spirit.

Through faith, we are made new.

Justification: freed from sin’s penalty.
Sanctification: freed from sin’s power.
Glorification: one day, freed from sin’s presence.

Are we sinless? No.
But in Christ, we don’t have to live under sin’s control.

Little by little, day by day,
the Spirit transforms us.

How?
By hiding His Word in our hearts.

God gave His people the Law —
the Ten Commandments — from the mountain.

And they can be summed up in two truths:
Love God.
Love others.

The first commands teach us to love God above all —
no idols, honor His name, keep His day holy.

The others teach us to love people —
honor, protect, be faithful, be truthful, be content.

Simple… yet powerful.

These are the very commands the world often wants to reject.
But why?

Because they reveal a better way to live.

The Ten Commandments are not a burden —
they are a treasure.

A love gift from God that:
guides us,
warns us,
and protects us.

When we follow them,
we walk in love — toward God and toward others.

Does the Creator of the eye not see?
Does the Creator of the ear not hear?

God sees. God hears. God acts.

From the beginning, He made covenants —
promises that bring blessing and peace through obedience.

He called Abraham,
set him apart,
and through his faith, a nation was born.

By Exodus, that family had become a people —
yet enslaved in Egypt,
physically in chains and spiritually far from God.

But God remained faithful.

He saw their suffering.
He heard their cries.
And through Moses,
with power and wonders,
He brought deliverance.

The Passover became the sign:
God saves His people.

And He still does today.
