This Sunday evening, we have our Christ Church Carols! 🎼 This is one of the highlights of the year, and we are so looking forward to it. 18h30 at Christ Church, for carols, readings, and refreshments after the service. Invite everyone you know and make sure you arrive early to get a good seat. 🌟

Te esperamos hoje às 18h30 na Christ Church, para cantar conosco canções de natal, realizar algumas leituras e desfrutar de um delicioso lanche após o culto. Convide todos que você conhece e chegue cedo para conseguir um bom lar. 🌟

‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.’ (Galatians 5.22-23)

What a wonderful weekend, with the Alpha Holy Spirit Day on Saturday, and then our special twelve hours of worship for Pentecost. Thank you for all those who joined in, whether you were there for ten or eleven hours (as some were) or just for half an hour. It felt like a significant moment for our church, and we will be growing in love and joy, gentleness and peace, faithfulness and kindness, goodness and self-control, as a result.

This Sunday we are back with our normal format and layout. We will have worship, kids groups, a talk on ‘Friendship with the Holy Spirit’, and of course snacks before and after the service!

Can’t wait to see you then!

Oi pessoal

"Mas o fruto do Espírito é amor, alegria, paz, paciência, benignidade, bondade, fidelidade, mansidão e domínio próprio." (Gálatas 5.22-23)

Que fim de semana maravilhoso, com o Dia Alpha do Espírito Santo no sábado, e depois nossas doze horas especiais de adoração pelo Pentecostes. Obrigado a todos aqueles que participaram, quer tenham estado lá durante dez ou onze horas (como alguns estiveram) ou apenas meia hora. Sinto que foi um momento significativo para a nossa igreja e, como resultado, estaremos crescendo em amor e alegria, gentileza e paz, fidelidade e bondade, bondade e autocontrole.

Neste domingo voltamos com nosso formato e layout normais. Teremos culto, grupos infantis, uma mensagem sobre 'Amizade com o Espírito Santo' e, claro, lanches antes e depois do culto!

Mal podemos esperar para ver vocês.

Hi everyone

We have been having a wonderful time preparing for Pentecost, with daily prompts to help us to pray, and lots of the team here fasting at various points through the week. Already we have seen some wonderful answers to prayer! And we are praying for breakthroughs for lots of different things.

This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost, and we will do this by having twelve hours of continuous worship, 8h-20h! We will have our normal morning service (with kids groups, talk, etc) taking place within this time (10h30-12h), and with coffee and snacks before and after as usual, but it will take place within the context of worship before and after. And the church will have a different layout this week.

Please come and join us for as much as you are able. Come early or stay late. Come early and stay late! Come for all twelve hours if you can! Or come to church and then go for lunch and come back for more. Sit quietly or stand and sing. And in particular come back for the final hour, 19h-20h when we will have a celebration at the end.

Temos tido um tempo maravilhoso preparando para o Pentecostes, com orientações diárias para nos ajudar a orar, e muitos membros da equipe aqui jejuando em vários momentos da semana. Já vimos algumas respostas maravilhosas à oração! E estamos orando por avanços em muitas coisas diferentes.

Neste domingo celebramos Pentecostes, e faremos isso tendo doze horas de adoração contínua, das 8h às 20h! Teremos o nosso culto matinal normal (com grupos infantis, pregação, etc) a decorrer neste horário (10h30-12h), e com café e lanches antes e depois como habitualmente, mas decorrerá no contexto da adoração antes e depois. E a igreja terá um layout diferente esta semana.

Por favor, venha e junte-se a nós o máximo que puder. Chegue cedo ou fique até tarde. Venha cedo e fique até tarde! Venha passar as doze horas, se puder! Ou venha à igreja e depois vá almoçar e volte para mais. Sente-se calmamente ou fique de pé e cante. E em especial volte para a hora final, das 19h às 20h, quando teremos uma celebração no final.
