COMPARTIENDO UNA NECESIDAD ESPECIAL

Nuestro ministerio como iglesia local
Un poco de contexto: DM2 Ministries (Ministerios de Hacedores de Discípulos) ha estado operando durante varios años en Estados Unidos y Canadá. Uno de sus misioneros, John Wry y su familia, llegaron a Bolivia en 2022 para iniciar un centro de entrenamiento en discipulado aquí en Cochabamba. Uno de nuestros miembros de la iglesia, ahora pastor, fue estudiante allí en 2022. Así fue como conocimos este ministerio. En 2023, nuestra iglesia local 'Yo Soy' comenzó el primer año del CC3D (Centro de Entrenamiento para Discipular, Desarrollar y Dispersar). Fueron 10 estudiantes ese año. El año pasado (2024) fue el segundo año en que nuestra iglesia local 'Yo Soy' continuó con este ministerio. Tuvimos 17 estudiantes. Este año, 2025, tenemos 6 estudiantes por ahora y esperamos tener más uniéndose antes de finales de febrero.

¡Hemos sido verdaderamente bendecidos! Ha sido a través del profundo estudio de las Escrituras, desde Génesis hasta Apocalipsis, verso por verso, que hemos sido discipulados en estos últimos años, conociendo la suficiencia de la obra de Cristo en la Cruz y conociéndolo a Él. El poder de Cristo es suficiente para nuestra salvación (justificación) y suficiente para vivir en abundancia (santificación). Al darnos cuenta de cuánto hemos recibido en Cristo y las riquezas de su gracia, hemos experimentado tantas bendiciones espirituales a medida que aprendemos a caminar por fe. Nos gozamos de ser parte de este ministerio como iglesia local y de ser testigos de cómo otros creyentes se convierten en discípulos y se capacitan completamente para discipular a otros también. Creemos firmemente que Dios está edificando su iglesia a través del discipulado. Por lo tanto, somos solo instrumentos en sus manos. Todo es por gracia.

Lamentablemente, todavía no tenemos un lugar propio. Así que, alquilamos un lugar donde los estudiantes puedan vivir y estudiar. Estudian de 8 am a 5 pm, de lunes a viernes, desde febrero hasta octubre. Luego, durante noviembre, visitan algunas iglesias en el país para compartir algo de lo que han estado aprendiendo. Por lo general, se gradúan a finales de noviembre. Este año, encontramos una casa genial para alquilar, y tendremos nuestros servicios de la iglesia y actividades allí también. Los maestros (nuestros pastores y misioneros a tiempo completo) no reciben un pago por este ministerio. Por lo tanto, los estudiantes pagan solo para cubrir sus necesidades básicas: comida, libros, Wi-Fi, etc. Queremos recaudar fondos para cubrir el alquiler de la casa de este año para reducir los pagos de los estudiantes y también para poder servir de manera más efectiva sin tener que preocuparnos por cómo llegar a fin de mes y cubrir todos los gastos.

SHARING A SPECIAL NEED

Our ministry as a local church

Let me give you some background. DM2 ministries (Disciple making ministries) operates for several years in the US and Canada. One of their missionaries, John Wry and his family, came down to Bolivia in 2022 to start a discipleship training Center here in Cochabamba. One of our church members, now a pastor, was a student there in 2022. That is how we got to know this ministry. In 2023, our local church "Yo Soy" started running the first year of the CC3D (Training Center to disciple, develop and disperse). There were 10 students that year. Last year (2024) was the second year in which our local church Yo Soy is running this program. There were 17 students. This year, 2025, we have 6 students at the moment and are expecting to have more joining us before the end of February.

We have been truly blessed! It has been through the deep study of Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, verse by verse, that we have been discipled these past few years, getting to know the sufficiency of the work of Christ in the Cross and getting to know Him. The power of Christ enough for our salvation (justification) and enough for how we live our Christian lives once saved (santification). Realizing how much we have been given in Christ and the riches of His grace, we have experienced so many spiritual blessings as we have learned, and keep learning, to walk by faith. We rejoice to be part of this ministry as a local church and to witness other believers become disciples, and get fully trained to disciple others as well. We firmly believe God is building His church through discipleship. Therefore, we are just instruments in His hands. It is all by grace.

Sadly, we don't have a place of our own yet. So, we rent a place where students can live and study. They study from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday from February to October. Then, during November, they visit some churches in the country to share some of what they have been learning. They usually graduate last week of November. This year, we found a great house to rent, and we will be having our church services and activities there as well. The teachers (our pastors and full time missionaries) don't get paid for this ministry. Therefore, students pay only to cover for their main needs: food, book, Wifi,etc.

We want to raise support to cover this year's house rent in order to reduce students' payments, and also to be able to serve more effectively without having to worry month after month how to make ends meet.
