WHY DID GOD PLAN SUFFERING FOR HIS SON JESUS?

God planned suffering for His son Jesus :

1) Because to save men from sin He(Jesus) must bear the punishment of their sin.

Isaiah 53:4-6
[4]Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
[5]But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
[6]All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Jesus bearing the punishment of our sin satisfy the justice of God.
The Justice of God does not allow sin to go unpunished, even though He is the God of love. In His love for us as sinner He provided a substitute for us in the person of His Son Jesus. Who took our place bearing the punishment of sin by suffering and dieing on the cross of calvary.

If there weren't any substitute to bear our sin God couldn't have been able to save us from sin even though He can do all things. Due to the fact that He is a Just God. To be maintain His justice without compromise He was obligated to provide a substitute. The is the reason the bible said "GOD IS THE JUST AND JUSTIFIER OF THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN JESUS"

Romans 3:24-26
[24]Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
[25]Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
[26]To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

It imperative that take into cognizance that God didn't bypass His justice in bringing salvation to us. His righteous justice was satisfied through the substitute He provided to bear the punishment of sin for men. The same way He provided a ram for Abraham when He told him to stop not use his son as sacrifice.

Genesis 22:11-14
[11]And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
[12]And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
[13]And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
[14]And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

In Christ Jesus He has equally made a provision for Himself for the sacrifice needed for our salvation.

Hallelujah Jesus gave Himself to bear the punishment of sin. Satisfying the justice of God.

His provision of this sacrifice (Jesus) is demonstration of His love for us.

John 3:16-17
[16]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17]For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior it is time for you to do it now. Because He loves you and bear the punishment of your sin. You need to believe Him in your heart and confess His lordship over your life and them you are save. Your sin are forgiven

Romans 10:9-10
[9]That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10]For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Say this words after me:

LORD JESUS come into my life and be the Lord of my life. I believe today that you suffer and die for my sin and on the third day you rose again. Forgive me my sin. And give me the power to save you from today. Thank for saving me. AMEN

WHAT DOES IT IMPLY WHEN JESUS SAID IT'S FINISHED

1) It's implies that the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God as regards death of Jesus is finished.

Acts 2:23
]Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Jesus death was not accident, it wasn't eventuality; an event that was able to happen but not certain. Hanging on possibility without certainty. The death of Jesus was careful though out by God. God plan it. God purpose it before achieving it.

WHAT DOES THAT PLAN ENTAILS?

It was a fixed plan and settled purpose of God for Jesus not just to die but to die through sufferings. If suffering is taking from death of Jesus His death will not be a perfect sacrifice.

Jesus told peter the night he was captured when peter wanted to fight to defend Him

John 18:10-11
[10]Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.
[11]Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

What cup? The cup of suffering. This same cup he wanted to pray away in the garden of gethsemane inorder not to partake of it.

Mark 14:36
[36]And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Jesus pray with the revelation all things are possible for God, inorder for God to take the cup of suffering from Him. Praying against God Will. It was not the will of Jesus to die through sufferings. So he prayed with God possiblity.

It was possible for God to take the cup of suffering from Jesus but it was not the will of God.

Possibility does not connote God will. Because something is possible for God to do does not mean it's God will to do.

Many of us go for God possiblity but not for God will. When there is delay or denial we are frustrated thinking that God has failed us.

There things in life we can not pray away when God has determine that we experience them according to His Will.

When you have done all you need to do to change a situation and it remains unchanged thank God. For God is not only God of possibility but God who work in accordance to his will and not your will.

Ephesians 1:11
[11]In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Stop struggling with the will of God over that issue. Rather be thankful to God. Because God will is the best it will end up with glorious testimony for you.

The statement "it is finished" does not implied that all human problem is finished as some people believe.

The statement " it is finished" made by Jesus on the cross of calvary is a statement that revealed the profound truth that His death was a purposeful death.; and that Jesus consciously went to the Cross to fulfill Divine purpose..
