🌅 DAY 7 of 40 Lenten Season

TOPIC: Sunday Reflection: Hope That Sustains

Even in the solemn journey of Lent…
Sunday stands as a reminder of victory.

Lent teaches sacrifice.
But Sunday celebrates "Resurrection."

Every Sunday whispers one powerful truth:
✨ The cross was not the end.
✨ The grave could not hold Him.
✨ Hope always rises.

The Resurrection of Jesus, recorded in Gospel of Matthew 28, reminds us that suffering is temporary — but glory is eternal.

Why do we celebrate on Sundays during Lent?
Because our fasting is not mourning without meaning.
Our sacrifice is anchored in hope.
Our discipline is fueled by resurrection power.

You may be in a personal “Lenten season” right now —
Sacrificing.
Praying.
Waiting.
Enduring.

But Sunday declares:
Your story does not end in sacrifice.
It ends in victory.

Hope sustains what discipline begins.
Joy strengthens what obedience costs.

This Sunday, pause and remember:
The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you.

🔥 Engagement Question:
What is one area of your life where you are believing God for resurrection power?

Share it in the comments 👇 let’s encourage one another in hope.

If you believe Sunday is a reminder that victory is coming, type “HE IS RISEN.”

TOPIC: ABOUNDING GRACE

TEXT: ROMANS. 5: 12-19

Grace is an unmerited favour which given to an undeserving person Whereas Moses brought the law, our Lord Jesus Christ brought grace in abundance. Acts 15:11, Rom. 5: 19. This grace is the mercy of God to men through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. John 3: 16, 1 John 1: 9, Leviticus 26: 4. In this study, we shall examine the source, the dimensions of the workings and the secrets of continuous abounding grace of God.

The Grace bestowed on us is so large that nothing can be compared with it. The Grace upon mankind overshadows the effects of the offences of Adam and Eve. But we cannot continue in sin and still expect the grace to abound. Apostle Paul says, God forbid. Rom. 6: 1-2

✨ PRIDE VS HUMILITY ✨
“Pride is a demoter; it destroys.
Humility is a promoter; it lifts.”

At Wesley Methodist Church, we are reminded that the path to true greatness is not through pride, but through humility. When we humble ourselves before God and others, we position ourselves for divine lifting and lasting impact.

Let us choose humility in our words, actions, and service. God exalts the humble and strengthens those who depend on Him.
May this message inspire you today to walk in grace, love, and a humble spirit. 🙏🏽

LIVING CONSISTENTLY IN THE HEIGHTS

Reading: Galatians 5:25

Soaring is not a one-time event—it is a lifestyle. Walking in the Spirit daily keeps us spiritually elevated. As we remain connected to God, we continue to rise in faith, obedience, and purpose.

Reflection:
What daily discipline will help me maintain spiritual elevation?

Prayer:
Father, help me walk in the Spirit and remain on eagle’s heights.

PEACE ABOVE THE STORM

Reading: John 16:33

Storms do not determine altitude—faith does. Eagles remain calm in turbulent winds because they know how to rise above them. In Christ, we have peace that surpasses circumstances.

Reflection:
Am I allowing storms to control my peace?

Prayer:
Lord, anchor my heart in Your peace.

CONFIDENCE IN GOD’S STRENGTH

Reading: Philippians 4:13

Soaring is not self-confidence; it is God-confidence. When we depend on Christ, we discover strength beyond our natural ability.

Reflection:
Where do I need to rely more on Christ’s strength?

Prayer:
Jesus, strengthen me to rise above every limitation.
