Province of the Anglican Church of Burundi The Province was created in 1992 and is made up of nine dioceses - Buhiga, Bujumbura, Buye, Gitega, Makamba, Matana, Muyinga, Rumonge and Rutana.

Its vision is about sharing Gospel and impact society through works of love and compassion An Anglican presence was established in Burundi through the work of CMS in the 1930s and grew rapidly as a result of the East African Revival. Mission stations were established at Buhiga and Matana in 1935, and at Buye in 1936. Activities mainly focused on evangelism, education and medical work. Among the Church's main concerns today are peace and reconciliation, advocacy and empowerment, community development, health, literacy and financial education, theological training and education. The Church is fully committed to mission and evangelism.
