What is EE Burundi ? Evangelism Explosion Burundi (EE BurundI) is a non-profit association authorized by the Ministerial Ordinance Nbr.530/826 signed on the 6th 0f June 2012. It is both a Christian and Interdenominational Association, which means that it collaborates with any christian denomination. EE is an effective way to train leaders to e
quip people in personal, relational evangelism. Through EE, people become the type of witnesses that Christ intends for us all to be. EE trains people to really connect with those around them and build stronger relationships. Using this platform, it is easier for someone to share the Good News simply and confidently. Ultimately, we want to help people to lead their friends to a relationship with Jesus. Our Vision
The Vision Statement of EE is: “Every local church equipping every people group and every age group to witness to every person.”
Our heart is that every person in the world would have a chance to hear about Jesus Christ. To do that, we win people to Christ, build them in their faith and send them out as co-labourers into the harvest. Our Mission
The Mission of EE Burundi is to glorify God by equipping believers to multiply in and through local church through relationship, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship and healthy growth. To accomplish this mission, EE Burundi does different activities such as :
- Mobilising the Church to reach the different areas of Burundi and elsewhere with the Gospel ;
- Equipping the Church of Christ with Evangelism tools ;
- Promoting the Unity among local churches on the basis of the mission of evangelism, discipleship, and of the healthy growth of all the believers. For this reason, EE-Burundi organizes training events in which believers from different local churches attend. Those participants have to be recommended by their respective leaders. Refering to EE tools available in Burundi, the participants can be trained in one of the following tools :
Our Trainings
BUILDING TOGETHER ON THE FOUNDATION(BTF)
BTF is a very rich manual on Christian Doctrines. On the one hand, this material deals with the doctrines of Scripture such as Bibliology, Theology proper, Anthropology, Soteriology, Ecclesiology, etc. On the other hand, it deals with the application of what we believe as Christians in our everyday lives. The training in this manual enables the participants to have a clear understanding of the Christian Faith, to explain it with boldness, and to walk the talk. This training, which takes 6 days, is a prerequisite to other trainings that EE Burundi offers to the leaders. CLASSIC EE:
Classic EE is a helpful tool for effective evangelism. Using this manual, EE Burundi equips the pastors and lay people with how to share the Good News simply and confidently and how to teach others to do the same. After this five-days clinic, the participants are expected to go and train others who will on their turn train others, and the chain continues. This process produces the continued multiplication or explosion of the vineyard workers. The content of this platform is the same as that of Classic EE except the methodologies that differ. In EE FC, we use the images to facilitate the illiterate. However, in most contries, even the well-read people prefer EE FC to Classic EE because it is cheaper and easier to learn. HOPE FOR KIDS-HFK :
HFK is another exciting tool for evangelism appropriate to kids. As in Classic EE and EE FC, the content in HFK is all the same. The only difference relies on the way the teachings are delivered because they are very adapted to the understanding of the kids. One shorthand book is for activities during the class and another one is given to the reached child during the evangelisation event. EE Burundi organizes a four-days workshop for Sunday school monitors where they are trained on how to train kids to witness to other kids. After this workshop, the monitors are expected to go and train the kids that are 8-13 years old. FOLLOW-UP MANUAL
The training in this manual is done simultaneously with the training on Classic EE or EE FC. It contains 15 Bible studies that help the new convert to grow spiritually especially in his first steps in Christ. After witnessing, the people who put their faith in Jesus Christ need a particular care and follow-up. Using this material, EE Burundi equips church leaders and lay people with how they can accompain the new believer and what can be useful for him in his journey to spiritual maturity. Our Follow-up after trainings
After the training, the trained people are expected to go and implement what they have learned in their respective local churches. To achieve an effective implementation, EE Burundi assists daily the EE local church leaders through the IFWs ( Implementation Field Workers). Those IFWs assure the good partnership between EE Burundi and the trained local churches.
