👏Samuel Ndacayisaba, a Sunday School teacher at Guérison des Ames –Gitega, shares how evangelism teachings have transformed children in his neighborhood.

🧑‍🦱“I’ve always had a passion for teaching kids, because I realized the kids' ministry is often neglected. Kids are sometimes set aside and taught songs simply to keep them from disturbing adults, as if they don’t need the Word of God. And in 2018, I participated in an evangelism training program for children called “Hope for Kids”.

📗In 2020, I began teaching children at church. It was not easy at first, as I was not sure they would grasp the teaching well, but I kept pressing forward. The kids loved it, and we began to see a tremendous change in our neighborhood. We started with 30 kids, and the class grew to 50. The numbers increased through evangelism outreach in our neighborhood. We then formed another class of 30 followed by one of 40. Through consistent outdoor evangelism (On the Job Training), the Sunday school Ministry grew to 150 children. We are now training others. We have seen a real change in children’s behaviors; they love learning the Word of God, and they love sharing the Gospel with their peers.

🛑We praise God, who alone enabled us to reach this point. I am investing in children because they are the leaders of tomorrow. When children grow up grounded in the Word of God, it is a blessing to the family and to the nation”.

“…I learned to share the Gospel with someone without fear …”
Bikorimana Etienne, teacher at Anglican church, Musenyi Parish, and one of the participants in the recent Evangelism training that brought together over 30 parishes under the Anglican Diocese of Bujumbura Leadership, shared: “Through this training, I learned to share the Good News with someone, boldly without fear, and Jesus promised that He will always be with us. During the on-the-job training, I came to understand that people are tired, and many are only chasing after money. They need to hear the true Gospel and fix their eyes on God, trusting Him for the rest. Another thing that encouraged me is that this training builds a person up spiritually, helping them grow. I am going to start a class and teach others this method of evangelism, so that we can revive the work of evangelism in our church and see more believers added."

"Go and make disciples of all nations. Jesus didn't tell His disciples to stay locked away in rooms; He called them to go out and share the Good News with the world. You have come here to be equipped, and then you must go and give it to others. Proclaim Christ boldly, whether the rain falls or not, preach Christ. And He has promised to be with you every day, until the very end of the age."
These were the powerful words of Bishop Eraste BIGIRIMANA, leader of the Anglican Church-Bujumbura Diocese, as he opened an Adult Evangelism Training that started this Monday, April 27, 2026, and runs through April 30, 2026.
The workshop is a joint initiative between Evangelism Explosion Burundi (EE Burundi) and the Anglican Church-Bujumbura Diocese, and is being held at Cathédrale Sainte Trinité.
30 leaders from various regions have gathered for four days to learn how to share their faith personally and effectively through one-on-one evangelism. Once equipped, they will return to their communities, begin multiplying the message, and train others so that the Good News reaches as many people as possible.
We invite you to pray that God would grant understanding, strength, and good health to all participants as they prepare to go and transform their communities.

✍️✍️Wednesday, April 22, 2026 , The Burundi Assemblies of God Fellowship (BAGF), led by Bishop NDAYISABA Jérôme, and God's Way Church, led by Pastor NAHIMANA Léonard, officially signed a partnership agreement with Evangelism Explosion Burundi" (EE Burundi).
📓Canon Ndikumana Israël, the legal representative of EE Burundi, expressed confidence that this new model of collaboration with local churches will empower congregations to take ownership of evangelism more actively than before, leading to growth both within and beyond their walls.
📕Pastor Ndayisaba Jérôme shared his appreciation, saying:"The training EE tools are extremely valuable for the growth of the Church of Christ, especially in reaching the lost. I can personally testify that EE Burundi supported me when I was planting a church during very difficult times. They visited us repeatedly at our church in Gitega.
We have dedicated 2026 as our year of 'Evangelism Explosion" and we are aiming to build a church of soul-winners within a congregation of spectators, meaning we want a team of one on one evangelists to bring many people to Christ."

📗Pastor Nahimana Léonard also took a moment to express his gratitude, saying:
"As a church planter, evangelism is the best way. We need the knowledge and tools of evangelism to reach the lost. I personally went through EE training and it helped me greatly. I hope others can access this training so they can be continually strengthened in evangelism.
We had the passion for evangelism but we needed the tools to increase our capacity and bring more people to Christ. Just as Jesus said, 'two are better than one' ,we hope that partnering with EE Burundi will be a great blessing to our church and to many."

📙In closing, Diomède Hakizimana, Director of EE Burundi, announced that the organization is prepared to help these churches develop well-trained teams for a one on one evangelism, targeting adults, youth, and children, and to consolidate that work across all areas where the churches are present and beyond.
He concluded by inviting any other church interested in partnering with EE Burundi to reach out to the organization's leadership to begin discussions toward a formal partnership agreement.

Two weeks after signing a partnership agreement between EE Burundi and El-Shaddai Church, an Adult EE training was held in Kabezi from 6th to 11th April. The trainees received the teaching with great enthusiasm and eagerness to understand, so that they could share it with others. During the evangelism outreach, 23 people made the decision to accept Jesus Christ.
The following day, April 12th, 8 of them attended El-Shaddai church in Kabezi, and 4 decided to continue being discipled in that church.
Pastor Vianney, who leads the church, said: "We are very grateful to God for the teaching we received, because we are truly seeing a wonderful harvest, and we are also encouraged to continue sharing the Good News."

Evangelism Explosion Burundi (EE Burundi), in partnership with the Free Methodist Church in Burundi, is holding an Evangelism Training Workshop, Adult EE in Gitega from Tuesday, April 7th, until Friday, April 10th.
This training has brought together 31 church members from 15 different parishes across the annual conferences of the Free Methodist Church in Burundi.

Participants are being equipped with practical tools for sharing the Gospel one-on-one with boldness and confidence. We are delighted to see the enthusiasm and growth of the attendees as they receive new knowledge and actively carry out evangelism outreach in the areas of Musinzira, Zege, and Quartier CNAR.

We encourage any other churches wishing to advance the work of Evangelism to reach out to EE Burundi so that they, too, can benefit from this training.

Please continue to pray for us, that this workshop may conclude successfully, and for all the other trainings currently taking place across the country.
