Opening word by ev. Jean Pierre BIZIMANA
Luka 18:1-7
Theme:"Pray endlessly"
Story about a stubborn judge who did neither fear nor be ashamed before peoples eyes. In this life, a such person is dangerous, you have to fear him/her.
He was faced by a widow who didn't give him rest. Later, he listened to her and assisted her.
MAIN PREACHING BY PASTOR AIMABLE MANIRAMBONA
Reading from:
Judges 11:1-11
Psalm 91:4
Theme:"BECAUSE HE LIVES MY FUTURE IS CERTAIN"
People often discourage us. They don't want us a bright life, they want us to be as they are, but because He lives my future is certain.
Preaching encouraging message is biblical. Though on earth there are hardships, this is a way and short time period, but the future is certain and promising. Keep confessing that your future is certain because God lives.
King David himself stated it in Psalm 27:13, I would have fainted unless I believed that I would see God's goodness on the land of the living.
SIGNS THAT SHOW GOD'S GOODNESS
A. God has given new life to many people who were going through hardships:
-Jephthah,
Judges 11:1-11.
After Jephthah was born he was rejected because he was born from an unofficial marriage(prostitute).
A time came up when Israelites were attacked by Amonites. They sent for someone who could rescue them from their enemies. It was Jephthah.
I recommend acceptance. Never judge or reject someone for his status because we never know what tomorrow holds. A child who's born must not be rejected as Israelites did to Jephthah. We read that later, they sought his help.
-Joseph
(Genesis 50:20)
Joseph was rejected by his brethren for no reason. At the end we see that it is the same Joseph who became their savior when they were oppressed and hungry.
Always treat everyone kindly and obey one another because your today might change into something you never expected and seek help from the person you undermined and rejected.
B. OUR GOD NEVER CHANGES, Hebrews 13:8
If God walked with those men we highlighted above, He will do the same with you. God never changes and His hand is not short to fail to rescue. His ears are alive to hear our prayers. This is a sign that convices us that our tomorrow is certain.
Him who gave away His begotten Son for us, will He not give us what we need?
C. HE PROMISED TO COVER US IN HIS FEATHERS, Psalm 91:4
Hearing that God keeps His promises, it encourages us which makes us not lose hope.
A picture of a bird covering its chick's with its wings. This the mother bird does, is not requested by its chicks. The mother bird knows what is best for its chicks.
This is how Jesus did. On cross He bore all we were responsible for and took them on cross. God's wrath was piled upon Jesus and He died. This is a convincing sign that our future is certain.
Jesus covered and still covers us. This same One who took upon His own body all our sins and shame will return.
D. HE WILL RETURN TO TAKE US
John 14:2-3
When He returns, all the pain and suffering will be no more. We will be with our Father, that's why we pray Lord, we need you.
We don't need to lose heart, there's new Jerusalem prepared for us and He will take us to live with.
