Before you compare yourself to someone, before you criticize them, before you spread rumors about them, and before you disrespect them, take time to understand who they are and the nature of their relationship with God.
There are people you must be careful how you treat. Yes, there are people whose lives carry a unique mark of God's favor and purpose.
There are people whose names were chosen by God before they were even born. There are people whose spiritual birth was accompanied by Heaven's declaration: "This one belongs to Me." There are people upon whom God's grace and love have rested since they were formed in their mother's womb. There are people whom God knows personally by name. There are people whose hearts align with the heart of God and whose lives reflect His desires.
There are people who experience divine favor wherever they go. There are people who have been set apart by God for His purposes from the beginning. There are people whom God defends, protects, and preserves in ways that may not always be visible to others.
What you call an ordinary person may be someone precious in God's sight. What you consider a small offense against them may be something Heaven takes seriously. Some people carry an assignment, a calling, and a grace that should never be taken lightly.
Be careful not to despise, mock, or underestimate people. The person you ignore today may be someone God has chosen to bless, uplift, and use mightily tomorrow. The person whose value you fail to recognize may carry a key to a door that God intends to open in your own life.
Some people leave such an impact that their absence creates a void that can never truly be filled. Their presence brings peace, wisdom, strength, and blessing to those around them.
Therefore, walk in humility. Honor people. Be slow to judge and quick to show grace. Learn to discern the hand of God upon people's lives.
For among us are God's beloved, deeply loved, highly favored, and set apart for His glory.
