Zeliangrong Catholic lay leaders and regional priests, who met August 31 last at St. Paul’s Parish Centre, Peren, have unanimously resolved and formally formed an apex Zeliangrong Catholic body with a nomenclature “Zeliangrong Catholic Association, Nagaland (ZCAN)” for a term of three years. In a press release, coordinator and chairperson Letgong Patrick stated that the meeting was also attended b

y parish priests and parish representatives from Peren, Jalukie and Tening and leaders representing from in and around Dimapur and Kohima including women leaders from Zeliangrong Catholic Women Association (ZCWA), Nagaland.ZCAN would be led by P.F. Zeliang as president with C. Kangba Andrew as vice president; D.T. Haideu Anthony as general secretary, Kidongam Panmei Victor as Joint Secretary besides others. Advisory committee members include Kevipelie Paul Iheilung, Mathew Chandy and Ringam Thomas.
