𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞?
Life has long been a mystery that humans have tried to unravel. For centuries, people have searched for meaning, assigning various interpretations to the essence of existence. Some of these interpretations may be true, while others remain uncertain. However, one truth about life is undeniable: Life is now. It exists in the present moment, and we must learn to live it fully, embracing the “now.”
Often, especially in youth, we deceive ourselves into believing we have endless time. Yet, the passage of time is evident all around us. We witness our parents aging, and in turn, we too grow older. The babies we once cradled become adolescents, and the cycle of life continues. This gradual, unidirectional process of aging paints a daunting picture of the future, making it seem bleak, and often, uncertain. But in the face of such a reality, what should we do? How should we navigate this inevitable journey?
The relationships we forge, the people we love, and those we have loved, all change with time. So, what attitude should we adopt? How do we live well with this reality, and how do we embrace life despite the awareness of its fleeting nature? One of the most precious resources we have in this world is time. But how do we value our time? Who determines the worth of an hour in our lives? Is it our employer? Is it ourselves?
In many ways, the time we set aside for ourselves is directly linked to our freedom—an essential need that touches every sphere of our activity. Yet, we often fail to recognize how financial strain can subtly erode this freedom. When we become caught in the cycle of chasing time and money, we risk compromising our ability to live freely and meaningfully.
So, what can we do? How do we move forward? The first step is to shift our focus back to the present, to savor each moment without being overwhelmed by the uncertainties of the future. Life is a gift, and it’s in our hands to shape it, to find joy in the small moments, and to make the most of the time we have. In doing so, we reclaim our excitement for life, and we embrace it fully, no matter what challenges lie ahead.
