We're just past the one year anniversary of our move to Leuven. It's been a good, but uneventful year. Covid restrictions hit just a few months into our time here, so we never had an opportunity to team with a local church, and Danny's access to the university campus has been limited. However, we've enjoyed finding creative ways to do church at home, and to rest and prepare ourselves for a fruitful season when things begin to open up. We're praying for our friends and family in the U.S., Scotland, and Ireland, that you'll stay safe and find ways to thrive in your faith during this odd time that we're in.

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends and family in the States. This is our 7th Thanksgiving in Europe. When we were in Scotland, our church put on a Thanksgiving meal, and once in Ireland we had Thanksgiving with some American friends, but for our family meal at home we have a tradition of simply eating lots of pizza and sweets. Putting on the full meal is hard for only 5 people. It's become a fun tradition. Maeve has only been in the U.S. for Thanksgiving once, when she was 6 months old, so it's a tradition she knows little about, but we're sure to discuss the purpose of this holiday (both its positive and negative aspects) before eating. We still get to enjoy the football games.
