It provides traditional Shingon Buddhist meditation practice and offers the possibility to join traditional Shingon ceremonies and rituals. Yo e an is a member of the Buddhist Union of Belgium. A graduate from the Japanse Studies Department of the Catholic University Leuven, he obtained a Masters Degree In Buddhist Studies at the Buddhist University of Koyasan, Japan. He became a disciple of the A
bbot of the Chingokuji-temple, Venerable Master Kosho Murai. He completed the traditional training program and officially received the title of Ajari ( Teacher ) from the head temple of the Shingon-school, the Kongobuji-temple. A two weekly meditation practice is conducted in Brussels on Sunday mornings from 9.30am till 10.30am. The practice is guided by Shaku Jinsen and explanations are offered in English. After the meditation practice teachings on the Buddhist dharma ( j*p. gohowa) are provided and questions can be asked. The practice is held all year round except for breaks during the months july–august and december. The practice requires no former training and can be joined at any time. Following traditional Buddhist custom it is based on free donation.
