Update from My First Church Service Here Today in Rwanda 🇷🇼!
Greetings to our beloved ETHIM church family in Belgium, friends of ETHIM, and our ministry partners.
Today, I had the privilege of ministering to a group of believers under the leadership of one of our pastors, Pastor Deborah. Although the church had been unable to meet in its usual building due to registration challenges, Pastor Deborah faithfully continued gathering believers in homes and small groups. I am delighted to report that the church’s registration was successfully completed this week. This is a significant milestone in the expansion of the ETHIM vision in Rwanda and throughout East Africa.
After traveling for more than an hour from my hotel this morning, I arrived at a venue arranged for a short service. Despite the short notice, a wonderful group of believers had gathered by 9:00 AM in an open-air setting. Their hunger for God, commitment to fellowship, and steadfast faith were truly encouraging.
During the service, which lasted less than two hours, God moved powerfully. Following a brief message and a simple prayer for healing, more than twenty people received instant healing. The testimonies were remarkable and served as a powerful reminder of God’s grace and power. Although time did not permit us to hear every testimony, what we witnessed was truly extraordinary.
What made this experience even more humbling was that the Lord had shown me the previous evening what He was going to do. Seeing it unfold exactly as He had revealed strengthened my faith and filled my heart with gratitude.
Tomorrow, I will be ministering to another group of believers under the leadership of Pastor Augustine. I would greatly appreciate your prayers for this service, as well as for Pastor Deborah, Pastor Augustine, and all the believers here.
Despite the challenges they face, God is moving powerfully among His people. I also humbly ask you to join us in prayer that God would provide permanent places of worship for these two pastors and their congregations as they continue the work of the ministry.
To God alone be all the glory.
Blessings,
Apostle Simon Khan
