Faith is not only built in the easy seasons.

This Sunday, we began our journey through the book of James, being reminded that even trials can become opportunities for our faith to grow, teaching us to persevere and trust God for the wisdom we need.

“𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.” James 1:4

“𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘪𝘭; 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘶𝘱 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘴.” Psalm 23:5

This past Sunday, we continued reflecting on The Lord Is My Shepherd through Psalm 23, focusing on the goodness and steadfast love of God.

Even in the presence of difficulty and opposition, David describes a God who provides, welcomes, and cares for His people. The Shepherd does not only meet us when life is peaceful or when our circumstances are easy. His presence and provision remain with us even in the midst of our struggles.

Psalm 23 ends with a beautiful assurance: God's goodness and love do not merely follow behind us from a distance. They actively pursue us. His steadfast mercy and kindness continue to meet us throughout every season of our lives.

“𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳.” Psalm 23:6

As we continue to walk with Christ, may we rest in the assurance that we are never beyond the reach of our Shepherd. His goodness and steadfast love continue to pursue us, and His presence remains with us through every season.

The Shepherd's promise is not that we will never walk through difficult seasons, but that we will never walk through them alone.

This Sunday, we were reminded of the comfort and confidence we find in the presence of our faithful Shepherd.

“𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘺, 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘯𝘰 𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘭, 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦; 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘮𝘦.” Psalm 23:4

This past Sunday, we reflected on The Lord Is My Shepherd through Psalm 23.

David paints a beautiful picture of what it means to trust God as our Shepherd. He is the One who provides for us, leads us, restores us, and remains with us through every season. Even when the path leads through dark and difficult places, we do not have to walk it alone. His presence gives us courage because He is faithful to care for His people.

Our Shepherd knows what we need and faithfully provides for us according to His riches and wisdom. Like sheep who depend entirely on their shepherd, we are invited to surrender our need for control and trust the One who knows the way better than we do.

“𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳.” Psalm 23:6

As we continue to walk with Christ, may we trust our Shepherd in every circumstance, follow where He leads, and rest in the assurance that His goodness, provision, and presence will never leave us.

This Sunday, we were reminded that we have a Shepherd who knows us, leads us, and cares for us through every season.

Even when the path is uncertain, we can trust the One who goes before us. With Him, we lack nothing we truly need.

Church is more than gathering in the same room. It's learning to walk together in love, grace, and peace.

This Sunday reminded us that unity is one of God's greatest gifts to His people, and it's something worth nurturing and protecting.

“𝘉𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘦; 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦.” Ephesians 4:2

“𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺.” Colossians 3:14

This past Sunday, we reflected on “Who Do We Represent? When Christ Is Seen in Our Homes” through Colossians 3:12–15.

Paul reminds us that following Christ is not only about what we believe, but about how His character is displayed in the way we treat those closest to us. Our homes are often where our patience, compassion, humility, forgiveness, and love are tested most and where Christ should be seen most clearly.

As people who belong to Christ, we are called to put on the character of Christ. This means choosing compassion when it is difficult, forgiving when we have been hurt, putting others before ourselves, and allowing the peace of Christ to rule in our hearts and relationships.

“𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴, 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘧𝘶𝘭.” Colossians 3:15

Our faith is not only seen in how we worship on Sundays, but in how we live when we go home.

This Sunday, we were reminded to ask ourselves: Who do we represent? May Christ be seen in our words, our actions, and the way we love the people closest to us.

“𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰, 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵, 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴.” Colossians 3:23
