English learners also facilitate their knowledge by interacting with other English speakers.

11th Sunday in the Ordinary Time of Year A
Let us reflect today on Jesus’ divine compassion from two perspectives. First, gaze at His overflowing love for you. There is no way to overestimate that love. Second, allow that love to transform you so that His mercy flows through you into the lives of others. Do not hold back the love of God—let it pour forth freely and abundantly. Let His divine compassion move your entire being so that you become a true instrument of His mercy, drawing souls to Him through the power of love and all-consuming compassion.

Most loving Lord, when You gazed upon the people of Israel’s troubles and abandonment, Your Sacred Heart was stirred with deep compassion. Pour forth that same compassion upon me and my household O Lord, and make me an instrument of Your mercy in the lives of others. Jesus, I trust in You.

Brethren, let us pray to the Lord Jesus, who is meek and humble of heart. Let us ask him: Most loving Lord, have mercy on us.

Jesus, the fullness of divinity dwells in you,
give us a share in your divine life.
Most loving Lord, have mercy on us.

Jesus, in you are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, make known to us through your Church the manifold wisdom of God.
Most loving Lord, have mercy on us.

Jesus, the Father was well pleased in you, help us to hear your word and keep it.
Most loving Lord, have mercy on us.

Jesus, of your fullness we have all received,
pour out upon us in abundance the Father’s favor and truth.

"Jar of meal shall not be spent, jug of oil shall not be emptied, before the day when the Lord sends rain on the face of the earth"
The woman went and did as Elijah told her and they ate the food, she, himself and her son. The jar of meal was not spent nor the jug of oil emptied, just as the Lord had foretold through. 1 Kings 17:7-16
