Introduction: The Divine Call and Biblical Importance of Loving Children
Introduction
Children are a living and sacred expression of God’s love for mankind. According to the Holy Bible, children are not just ordinary people, but are God’s special grace, blessing, and reflection of His kingdom. Children have a place above all in the formation of society and family. In the light of the teachings of the Bible and the example of Jesus Christ, why we should love and care for children unconditionally is presented in detail below.
1. Children are a blessing and reward from God
The Bible clearly states that children or children are not a human achievement, but a sacred gift from God. Psalm 127:3 says, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord; the fruit of the womb is his reward.” When God gives a child to a family, He essentially entrusts one of His heavenly trusts or rights to man. Neglecting this gift is to underestimate God’s gift. Therefore, as part of our gratitude to God, we should give our children the utmost love.
2. Symbol of the Right and Simplicity of the Kingdom of Heaven
According to the teachings of Jesus Christ, children are the true citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Children are free from pride, envy, or deceit. Jesus valued their simple and innocent hearts so much that he called on adults to be as humble as children (Matthew 18:3). Loving children means respecting that divine simplicity within them.
3. Serving children means serving God
Jesus Christ compared his presence with accepting and loving children. Mark 9:37 states, “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me receives not me but him who sent me.” That is, loving a helpless or ignorant child and giving him shelter is directly loving God. Our behavior towards children directly reveals the depth of our love for God.
4. Responsibility for spiritual formation and future guidance
The Bible instructs us to guide children in the right path, which is the greatest manifestation of love. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train a child in the way he should go; when he is old he will not depart from it.” Only through love can a child be raised as a disciplined and righteous person. They are commanded to be raised in the discipline of the Lord without provoking them or causing them emotional distress (Ephesians 6:4).

Analyzing the overall teaching of the Bible, it is seen that God’s heart always beats for children. Loving children is not an optional matter, but rather a specific command and spiritual duty of God. Through loving children, we see the enchanting reflection of God's kingdom on earth.
