Shree Shree Harichand Thakur gave the spiritual strength ,the inner-strength to rise , to perform their religious rituals to the lower-caste Sonaton community . ass people didn't permit them to enter a temple. If any Namashudra walked along any road the higher class , people never walked that way. The Brahmans were the most notorious. Their oppression crossed any limit of oppressions. They outraged this helpless community in the name of fake books and law and rituals. Thakur Harichand gave them the true religious idea. He gave that UN-touched, Chandal's, Namashudras a home, a shade, a temple ;Shree Dham Orakandi, but it is Shree Shree Guru Chand Thakur who gave them their true identity
GURU CHAND THAKUR is called father of Namashudra. He is the man whose brave efforts made all impossiable happen. Before Him Namashudras are called CHANDAL. They had no right in the society. Brahmins treated them like animal. They could not even perform the simpliest rituals of their religion. If some one tried to read Veda they had to suffer terrribly. People from higher sects and classes even did not use the roads where Namashudrs left their footsteps. They had no right to enter in mandir or temple. Such a pathetic life they had to lead.. There are significant numbers of avatar in Hindu religion but no one stands for Namashudars. They cunningly used these lower classes peoples. Legends like RAM, KRISHNA, BOLORAM, SHONKORACHARYA, etc and VAISHNAV GURUS never done anything for these helpless community. In their times they remained “CHANDAL” burned dead bodies, lived by the side of rivers , roared animals and hunted animals. Brahmin scholars forced to write “CHANDAL” in Indian Census Report. It is Shree Shree HARI CHAND THAKUR who pointed that Namashudras actually not the lower cast and they have rights in society and religion. The war began that time. Oppressions reached its high lebel. HARI CHAND THAKUR fought with them spiritually and the oppressors defeated in their every efforts. The helpless Namashudars found a shelter and they accepted it, heartly. However, HARI CHAND THAKUR returned their rights of religion but it was GURU CHAND THAKUR for whom Namashudras found their identity, their true recognition that they were the actual Brahmin originated from ‘BROMMAH”. Again with the help of Christian Missionary Dr. C S Mead He also managed to publish a notice by Assistant Commissioner of that time. The notice is given below:
