started in 1923, is one the centres of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission with the Headquarters at Belur Math, Dist. Howrah, West Bengal, India. The Ramakrishna Mission, Dinajpur Mission center was started in 1990. This Ashrama is blessed and sanctified with the dust of the Holy feet of Revered Srimat Swami Vijnananandaji Maharaj (Direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna), Revered Srimat Swami Virajananda Maharaj (Disciple of Sri Ma Sarada Devi) and others. Revered Srimat Swami Vijnananandaji Maharaj himself taught the girls of Saradeswari Girl’s School, Dinajpur the methods and practices of worshipping Lord Shiva. The first secretary of this Ashrama was Revered Srimat Swami Pranatmanandaji Maharaj. This Ashrama has been serving the people of North Bangladesh since a long time. Revered Swami Amritatwanandaji Maharaj, one of the secretaries of this Ashrama, had served from 5th March,1976 to 30th July,2011. Most of the development work were done during his tenure.
