১৮ জিলহজ্জ, গাদীরে খুমের প্রান্তরে মহানবী হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সা.) হাজারো সাহাবির উপস্থিতিতে হযরত আলী ইবনে আবি তালিব (আ.)-এর হাত উঁচু করে ঘোষণা করেছিলেন:
"Man Kuntu Mawlahu Fa Hādhā Aliyyun Mawlāhu"
"আমি যার মাওলা, আলীও তার মাওলা।"

এই ঐতিহাসিক ঘোষণার মাধ্যমে উম্মতের জন্য হেদায়েত ও নেতৃত্বের ধারাবাহিকতা সুস্পষ্ট করা হয়। তাই ঈদে গাদীর শুধু একটি স্মৃতিবহ দিন নয়; এটি সত্য, ন্যায়, নেতৃত্ব এবং আহলে বাইত (আ.)-এর প্রতি ভালোবাসার অঙ্গীকারের দিন।

এই পবিত্র উপলক্ষে সকল আশেকে আহলে বাইত (আ.)-কে জানাই আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও মোবারকবাদ।
